Last February I had a chance to road trip around the BC Interior shooting a snowboard / hip hop / comedy tour for CBC Comedy with Tom Green, Patrick Coppolino, Peter Harvey and DJ Vinyl Ritchie. It was one of the most fun gigs I've had in years. This eight-part web series has finally been released into the wild! Have a look if you dare! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gvznss_4G9g&t=614s

Made the Maldivian press last month! Had the pleasure to visit the Maldives and talk about storytelling and filmmaking for PATA's Academy along with a great lineup of presenters. Many thanks to PATA and MATATO for hosting us! https://avas.mv/35902

Over the past few months, I've been working with Wild Asia (www.wildasia.org/) to produce a series of videos showcasing responsible, sustainable tourism in practice. Filming in the Maldives, Philippines, Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam had its challenges but was also a great experience and we met some wonderful people in the process. Check out the link for more info!

Newest film I had the chance to shoot and direct for +CBT Vietnam is now online and has been featured by +National Screen Institute - Canada (NSI)'s Online Film Competition.

The film follows a group of Black Hmong women as they leave their traditional village to embark on a journey to the city of Hanoi, many for the first time.

With the aim to promote their village and businesses to tourism companies, they must also navigate a modern world foreign to them.

Check out a new video I had the pleasure to shoot and direct for the +CBT Vietnam project. We follow Ms. Ly Thi My as she introduces us to one of the distinctive, Hmong handicraft technique called batik. Her narrative illustrates the unique process starting with drawing with hot wax to the final stages of natural indigo dying.

I've always been blown away by the natural beauty of the terraced rice paddy fields around Sapa. Over the years we've filmed several videos for CBT Viet Nam seeing the area at different seasons, and the necessity and importance of rice to the region is a story I've always wanted to share. Like a lot of products we consume everyday, something as simple as rice takes an enormous amount of effort and year-round labour to produce.  Check out the film if you've got a few minutes!  Thanks!!

Happy to share this new video created for the CBT Vietnam project.  Coming to Sapa off and on for the past five years, we've seen the area at all seasons of the rice crop.  It's always been a strikingly beautiful place and we wanted to finally tell the story of how important rice is to this village.
