Column: Svi proving college-ready early in season #kubball
A late addition to a recruiting class that featured blue-chip prospects Cliff Alexander and Kelly Oubre, Jr., 17-year-old Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk was, predictably, a bit of an afterthought for many entering the season.

Kansas vs. Washburn: Second half recap and reaction #kubbal   #kucmb   #udk
Facing an uphill battle, Washburn got off to a decent start, scoring nine of the half's first 17 points. That was as big a "run" as the Ichabods could manage though, as Kansas simply powered its way to a 85-53 victory in Allen Fieldhouse.

Fun little place right outside Time Square. The singing/dancing shtick was enjoyable, and the servers were very concerned with providing customers with an enjoyable experience. The food was also much better than usual at these "gimmick" restaurants. Very touristy. Still, will probably be back next time that I'm in NY.

Come for the Roman Baths, get a bite to eat and a couple pints at the Fiddle. Great atmosphere and reasonable prices. Will be back again.

Went because of Man vs. Food, stayed because it was the best pizza I've ever had. Great crust, and with the meat all stuffed in the middle between layers of cheese for an unforgettable pizza experience. Would recommend to anyone in the area (including Denver--30 minute drive)

Stopped by on road trip from Grand Canyon. $5 entry, $1 you-call-its from there one out. Great deals, responsive bartenders and a good crowd make this a great stop for any 20-something out there.

Great location, just steps away from the Hermosa Beach Pier. Drinks are decently priced for the location and the crowd is generally younger and energetic. Close proximity to other bars and no cover charge make this an ideal place to stop in for a drink or three if in the Hermosa area.

Nice spot. Nice vibe. Good music. Severely overpriced drinks. But it's Vegas, whadda ya expect?

One of my favorite breakfast places in Miami. Been going there since I was a kid, and maybe some of that favoritism is pure nostalgia, but I don't care. Usually very busy, but staff still gets quality food out in a timely manner. Rascal House is something that I go out of my way for if I'm in the Miami area.
