Kweller Prep is excellent if you are a Hunter High School or Stuyvesant student or go to any other specialized high school in NYC. This is an advanced tutoring center where kids get into all the colleges they want as long as they show commitment to the program and do all the work. Daniel Ahn was a very good tutor for SAT. He gave me excellent tips on how to write the SAT essay and he was very thorough in explaining difficult problems. I think the materials are excellent as well. The tutors are very knowledgeable about the entire college process. Frances Kweller is unbelievably hands on and thorough.

My experience at Kweller Prep has overall been positive and excellent. I started in the tenth grade for SAT prep and continued all summer from 10-11th grade in the Kweller Summer Camp, but I highly suggest people start from 9th grade to ensure that they have mastered every skill and concept that is on the SAT. Since this is the New SAT, the longer you prepare the better. Kweller Prep is a clean and organized learning center with tutors that show care in making sure you do well on whatever exam you are prepping for. The teachers try hard to ensure you are learning and understanding, as well as raising your scores and improving. My tutor Daniel An was an amazing teacher who made sure I understood every concept, every rule. He also made sure my scores went up. I recommend Kweller Prep to everyone!

After taking one Kweller Prep course, my child succeeded on two entrance exams – one to the Baccalaureate School for Global Education, and the other (the results arrived two days later) to our dream school — Hunter College High School. Kweller Prep is responsible for this consequential luxury of available choice – its demanding, stamina developing course was an eye opener to a strategy of taking and passing tough entrance exams. First of all, Frances Kweller‘s philosophy of teaching was achingly similar to the philosophy of every immigrant to the United States – 75% of students in Hunter College High School have one or two parents who are foreign born. At Kweller Prep, administrators and teachers believe in discipline, responsible participation in classroom work, full completion of homework, and respectful treatment of all people. Second, Frances Kweller’s human kindness as an organizer and sincere care for her students is hugely unique – unlike the incubator chains with an appearance of impersonal tutoring boxes available all over Manhattan, loaded with tired kids and sad looking tutors, Kweller Prep is more like a home. On the way to Kweller Prep my child would often look at those impersonal incubators, point at them with shudder and repeat: “Thanks mommy for not sending me there. Thanks mommy for keeping me with Kweller.” My child absolutely adored Kweller Prep and its teachers and I was shocked why wouldn’t he want to leave after six hours of a long mathematically loaded class at the end of the day? Frances Kweller actually sometimes had to tell students: “Just go home. The session is over.” And this is after SIX hours of pure academics. Why public schools are not like this? Third, nowhere in her package will you read that she gives pies after pies of hot pizza, free flowing sodas, hot chocolates and various juices to your kids. Other snacks are just as easily and generously available at the room she keeps staffed for kids with yummy goodies – the room where they can de-stress and munch ( if it helps). Fourth, her approach was data motivated and research based – she was giving young children free boxes of colored markers and glow in the dark pencils, motivating young children to become prolific writers in seemingly naïve, yet extremely productive ways. Also never charged for were: notebooks, valuable test prep booklets and two soft cover reference books which you are free to use in the future. After being accepted into Hunter, we still lovingly keep her canvas bag with all of the materials she gave us at the time. Fifth, Frances Kweller is very receptive to your parental whining and does everything efficiently to stop you from doubting: my child was complaining about one extra talkative student. Kweller told us right there: “Oh, don’t worry, it will be handled.” And it was. The next day, the student did not bother anyone anymore. Finally, her expectation for your child will be as if he were in South Korea – high pressure and at the same time exciting – as it should be if you are ambitious enough to apply to a specialized High School. Her teachers were a perfect match to the students they were to educate – the match of a teacher’s IQ to that of the students is a must. More so, her screening of the tutoring professionals is far more rigorous than the vapid public school teacher’s certification exam. It’s just strange that some intelligent parents would not know that often the best teachers are not licensed by a bureaucratic judge who knows nothing about the art of writing or the splendor of mathematics. I am not here to reveal the materials she uses or to give details available at her Website. But I am here to say, if you are like me, go to Kweller Prep. It was worth the trip from Manhattan to Queens.

Kweller prep is great!! I went there for SAT prep and I learned much more than just SAT material in my time there. Although my SAT score increased by 200 points from an already high score, I learned many study habits that are helping me with my other classes! Overall I'm very happy with the results I've been awarded thanks to my hard work and constant persistence. The best part about Kweller is that although they're loaded with students, each student gets an individual plan based on his/her previous accomplishments and potential. Kweller sets the standards higher than high, and the results are worth more than what you paid for!! Best tutoring place ever!!!!!

After three years at Kweller Prep, I am proudly graduating from Bard High School Early College of Queens. Kweller Prep is a very hands-on learning center with a personalized approach. I'm graduating from Bard HS of Queens, with 50 college credits, and am entering Baruch College as a sophomore, meaning, I am skipping ahead of all my first year core classes. With the help of Kweller Prep tutors like Mo Kahn and Nicole Golbari, I soared in my grades and improved my confidence to become a fearless test taker. All my best friends attended Kweller Prep, and everyone left happy. There is an abundance of test prep practice material and in a small group setting, all your question can be answered. Coming here to supplement my education was the right choice. The support system the college-age tutors provided was invaluable as I navigated the college admission process. I also came to Kweller Prep for help with my college application, and highly recommend this service as well. roach aimed at reaching your goal scores both on standardized tests and school work overall.

Kweller Prep is an amazing test prep center!! I was drawn to their small group and one-on-one sessions that allows students to continue growing and learning. The classes are phenomenal and the tutors are well experienced. I have been attending Kweller Prep for months and it was honestly the best decision I have EVER made. My SAT scores drastically increased and I continue to see astonishing results. I have recommended Kweller Prep to a lot of family members and friends! You will not regret it!

Daniel An is just one of several excellent tutors at Kweller Prep. Participating in Kweller Prep's SAT Camp is a great choice, and I wish I started this program even sooner after 9th grade so I would prepare for the SAT 2 years before my test. Many of my friends from Molloy went to Kweller and everyone suggested this as the best place for small group test prep.

Kweller Prep is the best tutoring you can get HANDS DOWN! I've gone here for the past 5 years and had help with everything up the college admissions and financial aid and scholarship process. I am starting St. John's University this fall and I aspire to become a lawyer, just like Frances Kweller. She has given me great professional mentorship over the years and I recommend every serious student go here.
