Photographer Robert X. Fogarty's latest project in his "Dear World" message-on-skin portrait series focuses on survivors of the Boston Marathon bombings. In late 2013, Fogarty met Dave Fortier, who sustained injuries while running the marathon. Through Fortier, Fogarty asked several survivors to return to the finish line to take "Dear World" portraits. The subjects determined their own messages.
