Last night I turned an empty wall at the house into a magnetic chalkboard wall for my girls.
I used a quart from a company called www.magnamagic.com
. I chose them based on a number of good reviews and because they sell a paint that is a combination magnetic and chalkboard.
Application was fairly easy but this paint does go on rather thick at first. 5 coats were used to make sure enough of the iron dust is up on the wall.
So far all of our magnets are working great! The chalkboard aspect also seems to work a lot better than our last attempt with the rustoleum chalkboard paint.
Any rough spots on the wall I blame on me doing this project at midnight.
My oldest now wants a wall in her room, so looks like I will be trying this again soon.
