"From finely tailored Japanese cuisine to an ambiance that catered directly to my soul, I will dream of the day I make my return through its doors."

Written by Salvatore DiBenedetto [The Grubfather] When I walked into Kurobuta, exhaustion still lingered in my bones. Yet, within my first few steps in I felt revitalization swimming through my veins. The energy of its retro vibes was unlike any I’ve ever experience in a restaurant. At that moment I imagined my ideal eatery and when I opened my eyes, I found myself there. From finely tailored Japanese cuisine to an ambiance that cate...

Some great pics of +Kurobuta Chelsea
A population size of just over 8.6 million people, London is ever expanding, diversifying and being shaped by the multicultural flow of people and food. So, when it comes to choosing where to dine in London it is almost too much for your brain and stomach to handle. Not only do you have to decide …

One of my favourite's restaurants in London, Kurobuta, is a contemporary Japanese grill by Australian Chef Scott Hallsworth serving tapas-style dishes.

We booked the brunch for a large group and had the most wonderful time! The live music was absolutely amazing- the singer was incredible. The food was lovely, drinks flowed freely and were of an excellent quality. The thing that made the whole experience was the staff who were so friendly and helpful and never stopped smiling. We are going to come back as soon as we can- thank you for a brilliant time! If you are looking for a quiet place and are not sociable then this is probably not the brunch for you, however if you are after a busy, exciting atmosphere where you can make new friends then don't hesitate to go here! Better than any brunch I have been to in London or Dubai. xxx

We had the brunch on special offer. The first thing that annoyed us was the loud music/live singer. It was so noisy we could hardly have a conversation. The food was buffet style. It wasn't a nice set up as it was rather crowded at the buffet as it was also the restaurant entrance area. Presentation of the dishes was not nice as most plates looked half eaten given the buffet style. The sashimi was clumsily cut and at room temperature. I would say the quality of food felt more like a yo sushi. The staff saved it as they were really nice and fun. Other than that the place felt more like a student pub with free booze and not so great food.

Went in for a late dinner. Had a fun Japanese style pub atmosphere with a really fun Australian staff. The drinks were good and strong. The food, served tapas style, was very nice and went well with the drinks.

Food was delicious, and served in tapas-style. The artichoke spears were excellent, and the yellow-tail sashimi was some of the best I have had in London.

Inventive & interesting food with a good mix of Asian fusion food based on Japanese menu. Casual bar like restaurant. Food was good but as picked up by other reviewers expensive considering the portion sizes and prices. Best dishes were the scallops and the fillet beef.

A fun, informal, slightly raucous Japanese Tapas eatery. I enjoyed myself and would recommend. The beer was a letdown(Japanese draught), but the food was moreish. We ordered seconds.

Great service with some gorgeous dishes. Definitely give the aubergine a go, and don't forget about the octopus donuts. Delish.

Recommended! Stand out piece was the the attentive staff. We were 4 on a timeout deal for buffet & all you can drink for £30. Staff were all super friendly and available when you need them but not in your face / annoying or forced so A++ for the staff. Food was good, not excellent but exceeded expectations. 4 of us managed a cocktail & bottle of prosecco each and no worries at all about another bottle 15 minutes until our slot ran out. Lots of fish, beefs, kimchi and quality food rather than padding food like rice etc. Good was good value for £30. Not sure I'd pay full price £45 but stand out item for me was the staff (2017 Jan 14th). Seating area was nice and there was some live music as we left.
