Perfect your photos in a snap with the new Snapseed

With billions of images being uploaded and shared on a daily basis, we want to make it fast and easy for people to perfect their photos. What once required a desktop computer, costly software and hours of editing work, can now be accomplished quickly in a powerful app -- +Snapseed.

The new #Snapseed app gives you the precision and control of professional photo editing software on your phone or tablet. We’ve updated the app in many ways while staying true to our mission of helping everyone easily create extraordinary images. Here are the highlights:

New tools including Lens Blur, Tonal Contrast, intelligent perspective Transform, and Spot Healing

Selectively apply filters and effects to parts of the image using the Brush tool

Non-destructive editing via Stacks allows you to re-edit or undo any change. You can also copy edits from one image to another

Snapseed works with your phone camera shots as well as images from DSLRs, compact cameras, and more.

Get it today as it rolls out on the Play Store http://goo.gl/sQSfLM and the App Store http://goo.gl/irPbd4

Finally, G+ Photos in Drive (where they should be)!

Sometimes, we use photos for practical purposes, like planning a wedding, remodeling a kitchen, or capturing meeting notes from a whiteboard. And, while you snap all kinds of pics, your experience across Google should be seamless and consistent. Starting today, the photos and videos you keep in Google+ Photos will also be available in Google Drive.

I think there is a bigger problem than just getting audio to be viral. Audio needs to be truly discoverable. I think +Google could help and benefit greatly.

Google could produce its own "AudioTube" (or just simply +YouTube for Audio) which would work well with the new background playback feature and make it incredibly easy to support a new audio format for advertising. We know that Google is interested in voice transcriptions because of the feature they offer in Google Voice and because of voice input on Android, iOS, and Chrome. Hosting content could allow Google to crawl the content and offer transcriptions, too. The transcripts would help discoverability as well as accessibility. If Google really wants to work toward its mission, it should seriously consider this angle.

The second option would be to either acquire +SoundCloud or work with them to index and surface content from its users.

With a community of creators uncomfortable with the value of virality, an audience content to watch grainy dashcam videos, and platforms that discourage sharing, is a hit-machine for audio possible? And is it something anyone even wants?

thanks for the tip +Kristian Serrano I only use soundcloud for private audio recordings in my coaching program. I love the way it shows up in my membership site. I still like the audiotube idea. I use the Water Later feature on YT as my cable. I would certainly use an audio version of this.

Misused Phrases
Ever hear someone use a phrase inappropriately? Ever make the same mistake yourself? Today, I realized I've been misusing the phrase "loaded question," and I feel like an idiot. What phrases have you misused? (I bet most of you have misused "begs the question" without realizing it.)

I still miss Google Reader.
Nothing I've tried gives me the same experience and features. Nothing. And before you say "X does this," tell me if it can produce a public feed from a category and allow for individual items from other categories to be tagged and added to that feed.

The only thing that comes close is Tiny Tiny RSS, and that requires one to install and configure on their own host. The developer is a vulgar and narcissistic a-hole, so god help you if you need help.

Complete with downloadable character sheets!
The Rock, Vin Diesel, and Ludacris go for a birthday joy ride when suddenly they are ambushed by agents of a shadowy organization in souped-up Toyota Camrys. Roll a die and punch bad guys. This is...
