I've always said that Dan Brown was a second rate copy of Charles Cecil and Jane Jensen. Both tackled stories of templar conspiracies before the DaVinci Code, and did it in imaginative and interactive ways which honored both the folklore and the facts. This has made Broken Sword and Gabriel Knight two of my favourite game series of all time. This year sees the release of Broken Sword 5 and the 20th anniversary edition of Gabriel Knight: Sins of the Fathers (released this Wednesday). These are great days for old nerds.
