Good Morning! Got Support?

We're going back from sunny to grey and vice versa but the promise of Spring was so strong this week that I don't despair :)

Excellent Saturday morning with coffee and some administration to do.

Wouldn’t the world be a happier place if 90 per cent of the people with jobs put their feet up instead and left the robots to do the work? Why didn’t the last house you bought cost only 5 per cent of what you paid for it? And is there any reason why

Panda update rolling out

Earlier this week, we started a slow rollout of an improved Panda algorithm, and we expect to have everything done sometime next week.

Based on user (and webmaster!) feedback, we’ve been able to discover a few more signals to help Panda identify low-quality content more precisely. This results in a greater diversity of high-quality small- and medium-sized sites ranking higher, which is nice.

Depending on the locale, around 3-5% of queries are affected.

This company is not worth your time - just do yourself a favor and move on! The owner is not only rude but completely abusive and unpredictable. I hired him to do a big retaining wall at my house and it was not only *nothing* like the promised design but it was not cleanly constructed. There is a big disconnect between the sales/design team person and the crew actually doing the work. The sales guy is great. The owner then runs the crew and it felt like they never even talked to each other and that the crew had never even seen the design. The owner then DEMANDED via text that I pay him before the wall was even finished - it still needed a top step to be added - and when I told him I was afraid he wouldn't finish the step if I paid him for an unfinished job he proceeded to cuss me out and threaten me. I honestly feel like this man (John) may be unstable. I ended up paying him in full and I had to finish the top step on my own later. So, if you do decide to go against my feedback here and hire him then be prepared to babysit him and his crew the entire time because if the job is more complicated than hanging your Christmas lights or mowing your lawn then you'll want to be sure it gets done right. I wish I would have paid a little extra and gone with a more reputable company...I hope you don't make the same mistake I did.

Public - in the last week
reviewed in the last week
I'm writing this review 2weeks after my birthday dinner at the 801. So you know I am not a pissed off customer venting :) I hardly ever write negative reviews. I used to be a huge fan and we would make reservations for special occasions. However, my last trip took this restaurant off my radar. My husband made reservations for my birthday. We arrived 10min early and were told to wait at the bar although it was quiet that time of the evening. Regardless, the bartender was amazing. We had an appetizer and drinks. He was just great. Then our table was ready so we moved and were put in a booth right by the kitchen, which I should have asked immediately to be moved to another open booth because it was very loud. The service was not great as we seemed to be overlooked the entire time. They never asked if it was a special occasion and after the food was delivered we didn't see the server for long enough for me to have drank BOTH glasses of water on the table and have to flag down someone else to fill our glasses. The biggest issue was I ordered a pasta dish and it was not good nor how it was described on the menu. By the time a manager stopped to ask how everything was my food was cold and our server was still nowhere in site. I told him I did not like it and apologized but I needed to see a menu again. He seemed completely put off that I didn't like the food and seemed to talk down to me like I was a stupid child and not a successful business woman in my 30s. I honestly felt like I didn't belong in there. I won't go into detail but it was bad enough that my husband started to get upset. He then spent 5 minutes talking 'at me' saying he would bring me a steak. I told him I don't eat beef but he kept pushing the steaks onto me anyway. He only heard it when I husband said it to him very clearly. Then he basically told me that if I didn't eat beef then I shouldn't be visiting their restaurant. I decided to skip dinner at that point and just ordered desert - which came as a confused combination of flavors that was not described on the menu. I don't want to go into too much detail about the experience because then it would seem that I am venting. However, I will say we spent over 100 for the 2 of us to 'eat' and we left unhappy and with a VERY different opinion of the place.

This is a place I MUST stop at during every one of my renovation projects...and I do a lot of them. They have, cabinets, toilets, sinks, lighting, tile, doors, windows, my favorite paint and things you can't imagine until you walk into the door. I will actually wait to make any final decisions on a project until I've gone shopping here because when you're buying tile at 50% off retail it's easy to adjust your colors to accommodate. The staff is very friendly, always ready to be helpful and when something doesn't work it's easy to take it back. If you haven't been to one of the restores then you are seriously missing out! On the flip side - if you're tearing things out to do an update then this is where you should be dropping it so that someone who is into older items can reclaim it and reuse it. I'm grateful to every person who has taken the time to drop things off at the restore because without them most of my projects would not have been able to happen.

This team is amazing to see in action. I had them remove 3 very tall mature trees on my property that were close to my house. They had them down and the mess completely cleaned up and gone with in 3 hours. The team was so good at their jobs and at working together that watching them take the trees down were fun. The really impressive part that by the time they left there was no evidence that these 5+ story tall trees had even been there they had cleaned up after themselves so well. If you need tree services this is the team to call. I know I'll keep their number in my phone.

There is no place left in the area that has movie ticket prices set for around $3. The place isn't like sitting at the latest AMC or Marcus theater with the kicked back seats and bar service, but I grab the kids and see a movie with popcorn for around $20. These days that alone is priceless. Plus the old vintage charm of the place makes it more fun. There is sometimes issues with the sound during the previews but it cuts back into place when the movie starts. I f you're looking to make a good impression on someone or aren't okay with the basics then skip this theater for sure. For me - it's the perfect place to take the kids and for this price - why not let them bring their friends too?! My hope is that this place stays popular enough to keep it's doors open. :)

We wanted to order a cake for our sons' birthday. When we called the store, the woman who answered the phone was out right rude. We were quickly informed that we needed to give 24 hours notice, which was fine as we were calling with a little more than 48hrs notice. We told her what we wanted and she acted like we were inconveniencing her the entire time. We asked to pick it up the next day, 24hrs from the time we were making the order and she then informed us that they wouldn't get it done in time for that pick up. We asked about a few hours later and she said - "I don't know if I will get around to it by then." When we pointed out that it was more than 24 hours notice she said "Okay - make it 48 hours notice then." We have yet to pick up the cake as it's only been 24 hours from the time we make the call...fingers crossed it's sweeter than their customer service was. We were stuck ordering from them as my son had his heart set on a specific ice cream cake. Needless to say - this will be the last time we purchase from them. I used to wonder why Baskin Robbins was going out of business as I grew up with them on every corner. Now it's easy for me to understand.
