Introducing Seven Year Olds to Coding
A little over a month ago, I was invited to be on a team of writers for the ministry of Ontario to create a document for teachers about coding.  Luckily, I did not need to have any previous experience in coding.  My students have participated in the Hour of...

Thanks for the post. There are some great ideas here. I didn't know about scratch junior. I really like getting students to think about this at a much earlier age.

I'll share a post, too. https://medium.com/@jefferscorey/why-isnt-coding-accepted-in-place-of-foreign-language-requirements-ba0b5af16382

Students Show their Thinking with the Drawing Pad App

Worksheets Are NOT Part Of How My Students Show Their Learning
This past Saturday I was fortunate to listen to George Couros speak at EdCampSWO.  One thing he spoke about that really resonated with me was how his niece has pages and pages of homework to do each night.  As I looked at the picture of his niece, I respond...

Thanks Amy,  I have 30 iPads for 41 students.  I teach a 2/3 class.  I'm not sure I understand what you are having trouble with?  Is it assessment or giving your students the choice on how to show their learning?
