New Blog Post: Where I've Been & What I've Done. I wish I had an exciting story to tell, but it's basically about juggling. http://31millionseconds.com/2014/07/ive-ive-done.html

Today happens to be my birthday. I started to look back at everything I've learned as I've grown, and I realized it's quite a bit of wisdom to share.

My dog's not the brightest crayon in the tool shed, if you know what I mean. But sometimes I wonder if it's all an act.
I saw the article one afternoon when I was browsing online: 5 Least Intelligent Dog Breeds.  And I knew.  I absolutely knew, without any doubt in my mind, which breed I would see on there. Sure enough, right there on the very top spot, was the Chihuahua. All my previous experiences with dogs have been big …

Somehow, I managed to survive Murphy's Law this past week.
Last week was one of those weeks I affectionately refer to as Murphy Weeks. This is after Mr. Murphy himself, and his wonderful, ‘anything that can go wrong will go wrong’ law. It started bright and early Monday morning when I got into my car to go to work, turned the key, and nothing happened. …

New Blog Post: There's a Rampaging Spider on the Loose. Do you ever feel like you're being watched? By eight pairs of eyes?
I know that there are a lot of people out there who can’t handle spiders.  I get that.  I’m pretty sure that I can’t handle snakes the same way they can’t handle spiders.  I’m OK with spiders though.  OK in that I can see them and not freak out.  I don’t particularly like them, but …

My husband and I celebrated one year of marriage last week with a helicopter tour of our city.
Last Sunday, Andre and celebrated our one year wedding anniversary.  And I’m just now getting around to writing about it.  That’s how far behind I am right now.  You simply have no idea. Since our actual anniversary fell on Easter this year, it was just a chill out day for us.  However, earlier in the …

It feels so good to be back at blogging!
I have been blogging for two years now, and it seems like I just can’t make it through a whole year without breaking one of the cardinal rules of blogging.  I just can’t help but go on long, unscheduled breaks. So, what’s been going on while I’ve been away? Well, for starters, I had a …

I sat down to think about the one thing I miss most about being a kid, but I couldn't come up with just one. Instead, I have three.
One of my favorite questions to ask on blog awards or getting to know you posts is: what do you miss most about being a kid.  This time around, I thought I would have a taste of my own medicine and answer that question.  But, as I sat down to write, I realized there’s more …

By the title alone, you can probably guess what I have been watching all week. I will completely admit to being a little bit of an Olympic freak.
I’ve been loving TV in the evenings this week.  Not because of any normal prime time shows, but because the Olympics are back.  I’m a little bit of an Olympics freak.  Slightly obsessed. It all started when I was a young child, and I was spending a few nights with my grandmother.  I think my …
