Trying out the Coral slo-bowl on my beagle Lucy. Seems to work well and keeps her from wolfing down her kibble.

I was up yesterday night to see this. The skies were a little hazy through the eclipse entry, but mostly cleared up around 12:30 am - just in time for the total eclipse.

The Moon did turn red as expected, but to my eyes, it did not seem as dark red as some of the prior total lunar eclipses I have viewed. Still a great sight and glad I was able to catch it.

Thanks for another memorable season Sierra.

It was a rollercoaster of no snow stretches sprinkled with the 4 storm cycles that brought several feet of snow each. For reference, an average season has around 7 storm cycles.

But for those looking to make their last few turns of the season, the late March and early April snowfall has left the Tahoe mountains with very good coverage to close out the season with. Most resorts with sir down operations for this season after next weekend.

This short clip is from yesterday afternoon on Hemlock at Sierra.

Nice run. Been a Suprisingly good spring for how dry the winter was.

+Sonos just added Google Play Music to their available streaming source list.

Also, the Sonos hardware now shows up as a cast target directly in the Google Play Music app itself. This is the first time Sonos has allowed a streaming source to have direct access to its hardware. Previously, all streaming sources had to be via their dedicated controller app only.

Their Beta controller  app is also much improved from the official version. It has a very nice flat UI and supports universal search across all your streaming services.

Nice steepness visualization for ski resorts overlaid on maps along with chair lift and run information.

Hope they will add more resorts to their database before next season starts. Currently covering a few in CA (Northstar, Heavenly, Kirkwood, Squaw) and several in CO (Beaver Creek, Vail, Keystone, Breck, A-Basin, Copper, Loveland, Winter Park, Eldora).

Don't forget to look up tonight!

Total lunar eclipses are much more commonly viewed since anyone on the night side can see it as opposed to a solar eclipse that requires you to be in the right spot at the right time. However, each total eclipse has its own character - length, redness of the moon, etc. - that makes repeated viewing worth it.
Mark your calendars, sky watchers: In one week a total lunar eclipse will turn the moon an eerie shade of red.

Spicy Veg Khofta: Extremely spicy and oily. My favorite. I order it every time without fail. Veg Biryani: One of the best in the Bay Area (second only to the biryani at Shaan). Everything else is just filler.

Food: Legendary! The light green salsa is the best I have ever had. Decor: Located in a shady strip mall, but interior is well lit and open. Just enough tables to handle the afternoon lunch rush. Service: Efficient.

Food: One of my favorites. Massive burritos at rock bottom prices. Excellent variety of free salsa with chips. If you can handle the heat, don't miss the roasted jalapenos (also free, at the salsa bar). The Vampiros are also worth trying. Decor: The strip mall Ruby's is located in underwent recent major renovation and it no longer looks like the hidden dive it used to be. Interior is just a narrow corridor with space for maybe 5 or 6 small tables. They even used to have a tiny "bank" send money back to Mexico in the back, but I did not notice it the last time I was there. They do have a couple of flat panel TVs that always play soccer matches and a giant jukebox that I have never herd anyone using. Service: Very friendly and quick.
