So all my mobile photos and movies go to Google Photos which I like a lot. I opted for full quality using Google Drive space. Google Photos will upload everything to the cloud and afterwards, all the pictures and movies are sync'ed from the cloud to my laptop's local Google Drive folder.
But what if, at some point in the future, this local Google Drive folder is getting too large? Yes, I can easily move them away from my laptop's harddisk and archive them somewhere (on my NAS for example), but then the Google Drive app on my laptop would sync the removal of the pictures and movies to the cloud and then I wouldn't see them on my iPhone anymore. That great timeline, all that history, will be gone from my Phone :(.
