Quick Tip: Using the HTML5 “Download” Attribute http://ow.ly/M9Vos
Creating a download link in HTML is straightforward; add an anchor tag and point to the file within the href attribute. Some file types, however, won’t be downloaded. They, instead, will be opened in the browser. In this case consider using the “download” attribute. | Difficulty: Beginner; Length: Quick; Tags: HTML5, Modernizr, JavaScript

Making it up as I go along..
Introduction

Im an experienced Front end developer, making use of the ever expanding technologies within this field: HTML5, CSS, SASS, Grunt, JQuery etc.

A firm advocate of mobile first RWD. This basically means focusing on the content and how best to deliver it from its smallest viewable area, which tends to be mobile, and expand and adjust that up to desktop (or more). The UI side of me also looks at the differences in how devices will be used, and create the best experience for that aswell. Im looking at you, touch screen devices!

I work using Drupal, wordpress, Bootstrap, or even plain old Boilerplate. Angular? Im working on it..

I like to try and push the latest technologies and integrate them whenever I can. At the moment im loving CSS3, HTML5, Mobile first and the challenges presented in responsive web design and animations using CSS3. I love a nice subtle animation.

I like to kick back and play on my xbox, or watch movies when i get some time to myself.
