Went for the husband's birthday and got the chef's tasting menu. We were just spoiled! It was all delicious, and the portions were perfect. I also got the flight of sake, which paired well. We were a little confused by the shoe situation, there's a wall of cubbies for you to put your shoes in (you have to take them off to enter the dining space) but we were instructed just to leave our shoes on the floor. Is also a bit awkward to navigate taking them on and off in the small space while folks are coming and going, but I would take that awkwardness any day for food this good!

This is my mexican touchstone. The nachos here are my favorite in the city, done just how I like them. Their veggie options are plentiful and tasty. The service is great - Dustin especially is a super-star waiter - always thrilled when I get to sit at one of his tables. While New York is a terrible town for Mexican food lovers, I do believe El Centro could stand toe-to-toe to some of my other faves in Texas. Oh, and they have excellent margaritas, too!

Open 24 hours - gets at least one star for that alone! One of my more favorite places to go for an upscale breakfast, and because they're open 24 hours, you can miss the horrible brunch crowd altogether by going, you know, before 9am. The egg dishes are great, and have a nice latin flair. The nachos for dinner are also a tasty, unique version of nachos. I try to go here at least once a month. Waitstaff is friendly and laid back; you sometimes have to flag them down.

I love the idea of this store, but in execution, I was disappointed. I wanted to go here to get engaged in some D&D stuff, and look at/buy some new board games, but found the space to be awkwardly laid out and the board games seemed de-emphasized. I didn't feel especially welcome here. It's a shame, I made the trip out here because I really wanted to pick things back up. It could have been due to whatever Magic The Gathering event was going on while I was there (not sure what it was, but it was raucous).

Pretty much only buy my jeans and underwear here. They have a gigantic stock, specials every once in a while, and the staff is always, always on point to let you know if you look good or bad in what you've tried on. While I would typically find this annoying, they are actually kind of like style assistants. Some of the best looking pants I've purchased has been at their advice.

I really wanted to like this space, but ultimately, the food was a bit bland and considerably overpriced for what you get - small portions, without that pop or zing of flavor I was anticipating. As a longtime vegetarian, I really, really wanted to like this location, but it just didn't work for me. The service, also, was a bit off when I visited, a little awkward and slow.

Amazing across the board - great pizzas delivered with no fuss or pretension. In another city, this place would be worshipped and mobbed by pizza enthusaists. In Brooklyn, this place is casual and fun, with a great back patio enclosed in an all glass greenhouse with hanging drapes. And they take credit cards!!! A real gem.
