In 2014, we did some work for PCMC. They're the largest crane maintenance company on the west coast. They gave us carte blanche of the San Pedro and Long beach ports when shooting for a week. They brought us to the top of a 350' crane hanging from a harness over the Pacific, we could see the entire port.

The pop. is about aprox. 200. As you could imagine, everyone knows each other. We asked her why she displays the BEWARE OF DOG sign. She answered; "to keep the riff raff out. Q: Why is he on this side of the fence? A: How's he gonna protect me on the other side? — in Bombay Beach, California.
Bombay Beach, CA she "just moved in." The dog is on the wrong side of the fence...get it? it's funny.

We set up a small studio in a Los Angeles saloon back in 2014. Our goal was to capture characters that have telling faces because of their inebriated state of being. Alex Stoltze happened to be in the bar. She's a copywriter at 72 and Sunny in L.A. One week later she was in Palm Springs helping us produce a photo shoot. She's a hoot. The Hermosa Saloon. This kid is tough. He beat up the tattoo artist when he was done and walked out without paying. Luckily I had my camera in my hands...

We shot this couple not for a job, not for pay but because, well, look at them. The funny thing is that this is in one of the highest priced areas for real estate in America. It wa a hoot to shoot....

These birds are incredible. The hunter uses a dog to flush out the prey. Once flushed out, the hunter removes the bird's blinders and let's it take off. The bird climbs to about 800 ft. and dive bombs the prey at speeds reaching 270 mph. Wings tucked back, the bird sinks a talon into the brains cavity of it's prey, killing it instantly. (so I'm told.)

That building in the center is the U.S. Bank Tower. It's the largest US building West of the Mississippi. This photo was taken from 1,500 ft. above the tower. The helicopter was sideways so i could shoot straight down. I almost freaked out.

For those of you only familiar with "the Valley" because you've heard about it in countless movies, television and books. This is it. It actually sucks. This is as good as at can look.

I think alien visitors will one day look through the rubble and think; "well at least they knew how to engineer an interchange."
