Bone replacement
If a patient’s bone structure is not adequate or not thick enough to place an implant into, to some extent it is possible to replace the bone. The material could be the person’s own bone (e.g. cut out from the hip), bone from another human, or animal bone, but for minor defects the most popular solution is the use of synthetic materials (such as tricalcium phosphate, hydroxyapatites). Smaller bone grafting and implant surgery can be done at the same time.

The cause of headaches?
It could be your bad bite or – with specialized words – wrong dental occlusion. If the jaw and the teeth don’t work together optimally, it will burden the joints. As a result the muscles become stiff and painful, and the pain radiates to the head, the neck and the back. If you often experience headaches and you don’t know why, you should think about this possibility too.
To examine your bite Kreativ Dental Clinic uses Arcus Digma 2, which is one of the most advanced diagnostic tools in the field.

Diamonds could help bone regeneration

Researchers from Los Angeles came to the conclusion that nanodiamonds can improve the effectiveness of the fight against osteonecrosis. They could improve the durability of dental implants.
During classical treatment a sponge is inserted surgically and attracts the proteins which support bone regeneration. However, nanodiamonds could be administered by injection or oral rinse. In addition, due to the unique surface of diamonds they deliver the proteins more slowly and treat the affected area for longer.

Problem with enamel of lab-grown teeth
Scientists have already succeeded in growing internal parts of animal teeth, but those never had a hard outer enamel surface.
But this year American scientists introduced a gene which, among many other functions, is responsible for enamel growth. If they manage to control a gene in the context of stem cell technology, it will be a real possibility to artificially create human teeth.

"I came in to make an appointment with the dentist." said the man to the receptionist." "I'm sorry sir." she replied. "He's out right now, but..." "Thank you." interrupted the obviously nervous prospective patient. "When will he be out again ?"

Digital technology has many advantages over traditional x-rays.
A digital x-ray needs slightly less radiation and is recorded by computer so it can be immediately and easily transferred, enlarged on screen, and can sometimes be corrected without having to make a new one.
On the other hand it is a very environmentally friendly way compared to traditional film-making as it does not need film and chemicals to process the image.
Kreativ Dental Clinic uses digital x-rays when necessary during treatment and these can be brought up on screen at any time.

You can try it yourself.... our Free Consultation Package is there for you.

Who would think that oral care may even relate to Alzheimer’s disease?
A study from the UK examined ten brain samples affected by Alzheimer’s disease and ten healthy ones. In brains with dementia they found a bacteria (Porphyromonas gingivalis) which are usually associated with chronic periodontal disease. This bacteria is normally present in the oral cavity. During invasive dental treatment or even everyday activities the bacteria can enter the bloodstream and reach the brain. Researchers believe that the immune response in the brain may result in excess chemicals that can damage neurons. So poor oral hygiene is a risk factor for dementia.
