Is that a cosmic mushroom or am I seeing things?

We're waging war on drugs. Smoke, visions, and needles: Past and present, drugs are a part of peoples' lives. Why is this? From psychedelic mushrooms to why you should vaccinate your children, this issue will look at disease, natural substances, and chemically engineered drugs which alter our lives either for better or worse.

Happy solstice to all! Our new issue is up and just in time to still publish on the 21st from New Mexico!

Read it now: http://www.knowyourorigins.org/

(We're still fixing up a few things, but we couldn't wait to share this 11th Origins creation!)

This Warm December Weather Will Come to an Abrupt, Frigid End Next Week http://ow.ly/2SAxR0
Are you enjoying the (sort of) warm weather we've seen for the past day or two? Don't get used to it. A surge of Arctic air will deliver subfreezing highs for most of the country early next week. It won't be anywhere near as bad as last winter's "polar vortex" panic, but it'll be a miserable cold spell just in time for the new year.

It's time to rediscover where we came from.
Introduction
Origins Scientific Research Society encourages scientific archaeological research, species conservation, and preservation of our global heritage through research grants, free public information, and awareness outreach.

OSRS strives to inform the public about cultures and civilizations of the past and present along with aspects of our world that make it unique. These aspects are not limited to people, but extend to plants, animals, and beyond the edges of the Solar System.

Preserving archaeological resources, cultural heritage, and nature takes more than a few people

Discovery, understanding, and preservation – this is our goal through public education for all ages.

This is our heritage, our future, our Origins... It’s time to rediscover where we came from.
