If you enjoy observing or imaging nebulae, this plan is for you. "Sky At Night Magazine Deep-Sky Tour, May 2017" contains 5 objects in the northern sky. All are nice imaging targets, and a few are challenging unless you have a large telescope.

New in the Plan Library: "Berkeley Open Clusters". This is a collection of 104 old and distant open clusters that are sure to challenge observers and imagers alike. Scattered across the sky, most of these clusters are visible from both northern and southern hemispheres. Visual observers will need a large instrument to see many of these.

We're packed up and ready to go to the Northeast Astronomy Forum in Suffern, NY. We'll have Deep-Sky Planner and SQM Reader Pro software available at special prices, and this year we'll have information about the Webb Deep-Sky Society. Please come by the Knightware booth and say hello, or let us answer your questions about our products.

We'll be posting updates about the show, so please check back. We hope to publish our booth number by Friday afternoon.

Two plans added to the Plan Library kick off the month of April. First, Steve Tonkin's "Binocular Sky Apr 2017" provides observers with binoculars or small telescopes a nice collection of objects to view (mainly from the northern hemisphere). Read his free newsletter at http://binocularsky.com/newsletter/archive/201704.pdf

Second, "RASC 40 Brightest Galaxies" contains galaxies visible to observers with moderate sized telescopes in either hemisphere. Many of these galaxies are visible in the night sky now.

Please join the author of Deep-Sky Planner for a pre-recorded webinar about the many ways to create reports of your logged observations.

The video covers reporting in general use and highly customized reporting. It also covers importing observations from other software.

You can watch the video in full resolution in the Knightware video library at
