I have 9 siblings, and I'm the youngest one out of the 9. Being the youngest, I was able to learn from all their mistakes, if they messed up, I was able to see what not to do in the future. Watching them helped me to avoid bad decisions. Out of all of my siblings, one of my sisters, the one in the middle, is my biggest inspiration, she is one of the hardest working people I know and I look up to her for that

This class is the best way to switch up your workout routine, as it incorporates the surf boards to train your stabilizer muscles, balance and proprioception on top of your full body circuit training. You guessed it: SURFit with Penny Vassil! Mondays 5:30pm, Wednesdays 7:30pm and Saturdays 11am. You can also catch this amazing instructor for a Tabata bootcamp Wednesdays at 6:30pm and Core Power on Saturdays 10:30am.
SURFit avec Penny: Lundis 17h30, mercredis 19h30 et samedi 11h. En plus d'offrir un "full-body workout" en circuit, les planches de surf amènent un aspect original à la session qui permet en plus de travailler l'équilibre, les muscles stabilisateurs ainsi que la proprioception. Vous avez aussi la chance de suivre notre magnifique Penny les mercredis pour un Tabata bootcamp à 18h30 et les samedis pour Core Power à 10h30.

"I try to be humble, I think that's something of value and we dont see it now a days. Being humble is very important in having success. We have to learn all the time from everyone no matter what situation and these days we see a lot of competitive people, and its not necessarily always a healthy kind of competitive. My parents were the ones teaching me to be humble. We're originally from Lisbon, which is in Portugal. My parents are both teachers, so they learned and experienced different strategies in life, how to deal with situations, with people and with kids. I think that is what taught them humility and that's how they taught me to be humble."

"I'm grateful for every single day that I get up, and I live. The fact that we get up and are able to live life everyday, people take that for granted. I recently lost most of my family members in the past 3 years, and it made me realize the importance, apart from all the other things, the support system that I have, my other family and friends, just the fact that I can get up every morning and I breath is a gift in itself, and for that reason I feel very happy, grateful and successful

"My biggest fear in life is to waste my time on useless things. Time is precious and I dont want to waste it. I spend my time with my family and friends and it makes my time more valuable. I'm from France, and law school is what brought me here. I fell in love with the city and I dont want to leave, but it's hard because my family is in France still. I have 3 sisters and we're all really close. Even with the distance we find a way of seeing each other every two months. We're the baby chickens for my mother. I miss being all together, they are my best friends ever. I know it sounds cliché but my goal in life is to just be happy. "

"My son is 5 and my daughter is 18 months. Since my son now is 5, he's easy, but my daughter is a fire cracker. My kids are the main reason that I decided to come back to the gym, I want to be able to keep up with them as I get older, and to teach them that not only do you have to be kind and smart, you have to take care of your body.
One thing I want my kids to learn is that dreams dont come for free. You have to work at it like everything else. I want to spoil my kids but I want to teach them how to do things on their own also. Right now, in my life, I feel rich when it comes to my family, I'm so happy. "
