Kiva partner, Novica, allows artisans around the world to sell unique, high-quality goods directly to consumers via their website. Repayments on Novica loans are tied to artisan revenue. This means that if an artisan has a good month, they will pay back more – or less during slower months. Visit novica.com/kiva to see our artisans’ work!

When she first got her loan, Talent was in the business of selling clothes. Due to low demand, she decided to sell food and groceries. This business has been more lucrative and with the proceeds, she has been able to buy a commercial stand where she’ll soon build her own shop.

I started Jazzy Sweeties because I love sweets, and didn't feel like store bought items were made with love. My goal is to bring quality desserts & cakes baked with care to my community.

Happy Earth Day! We love green loans like this one: a Kiva loan helped the Egyani women’s group in Ghana buy ELSA clean cookstoves that run on palm kernel shells instead of wood. The ELSA stove will drastically improve the indoor air quality for their families and decreases regional demand for wood-fuel.

Empower people around the world with a $25 loan
Introduction
We are a non-profit organization with a mission to connect people through lending to alleviate poverty. Leveraging the internet and a worldwide network of microfinance institutions, Kiva lets individuals lend as little as $25 to help create opportunity around the world.

We envision a world where all people - even in the most remote areas of the globe - hold the power to create opportunity for themselves and others.

We believe providing safe, affordable access to capital to those in need helps people create better lives for themselves and their families.
