I cooked us nday brunch before I even had coffee and it was delicious. This is tofu scramble, breakfast potatoes and chipotle cashew crema. You can find the scramble recipe on my blog. The crema will be in an upcoming book. http://www.kitchenshaman.com/tofu-scramble/

I'm kicking off my series of guest posts today with an article about vegan coconut milk chocolate from Megan Giller of Chocolate Noise. Megan and I have a box Buddha Truffles from French Broad Chocolates for one lucky person, too!

One of the Kitchen Shaman's early demos, this was Party in the Parking Lot to help raise funds for an all vegan grocery store in Phoenix, AZ. We didn't get the store, but we had a lot of fun trying. I made Portobella Fajitas with Southwestern Slaw.

Nothing tastes better than your own homemade salsa, especially when it's roasted and served with any of your favorite Southwestern foods (especially chips!) Follow this recipe and see how easy it is to make your own.
You'll never buy salsa in the store again.

Ever wonder why when you cook with portabello mushrooms they look dirty. Here's a great method to clean the mushrooms before you use them.

I'm at Veggie Fest Chicago this weekend, doing two chef demos. Yesterday was Watermelon 3 Ways, salsa fresca, watermelon gazpacho, and agua fresca de sandia.
Today is Red Chili Tofu taco salad style.
It is a pretty amazing event in Lisle, Illinois, outside of Chicago. It's my first time visiting this part of the United States. I am grateful for the opportunity to spread the Kitchen Shaman love to events of this caliber.

Volunteers are the backbone of events like this one, and I want to thank each and every one of them who helped the demo go smoothly.

And you know what's great? I got a SignI It's my first one, provided by the festival. So excited about this opportunity.

If you are in the area, come out and visit us.  All sorts of fun stuff going on, bands, a kids area, samples of food from vendors. There might be rain but don't let that stop you, bring an umbrella.
