Introduction
Hello. I'm Kirsten Hudson. Blogger. Home decorating fanatic. Crafter.

In my free time, I work as a freelance writer for fun, and I keep up with my own home and lifestyle blog, Red Leaf Style. Rencetly, both my writing and my crafty projects on Red Leaf Style have been featured in VintageKC magazine.

Professionally, I work as the manager of content marketing at PBA Health, a pharmacy services organization in the pharmaceutical industry. I’m also the editor of Elements magazine, a business magazine for independent pharmacy published by PBA Health.

I’m always up to something. My other favorite activities include do-it-yourself projects (painting, redoing furniture,) baking, home decorating, crafts, cooking, yoga and traveling.

KC Rental Source is absolutely the worst rental management company I have ever worked with. They obviously show no care for the properties they represent and manage. On my move in day, during the final walk through inspection of the home I was about to rent, I found fleas infested in the carpet of the house. KC Rental Source, as well as the owner of the home, had known about the fleas a month earlier and had worked to get rid of them, according to Missy Greene. Yet, no one had checked to see if they fleas had in fact been removed before my move in. Clearly they had not. This is to say nothing of the fact that I was told the backyard would be cleaned up and the trees pushing down on the power lines would be trimmed before my move in, which also did not happen. Luckily, I had others living options, otherwise I would have had no where to go, as the house was uninhabitable. KC Rental Source did work with me to return my security deposit and first month's rent, but that wasn't until a week later. Meaning, they kept my money for a week despite the fact that the rental home was uninhabitable. I was also extremely disappointed that Missy Greene, the owner of KC Rental Source, was late to both of the appointments I had with her. She was 45 minutes late to the home walk thorough inspection. Then, on the day I was to receive my refund, I was told my check would be available for pick up by no later than 2 p.m. at the KC Rental Source office. I arrived at 3 p.m. and the check was not there. I then had to wait until 3:20 p.m. for Missy to drop it off. I would recommend not working with this company. If this is how you are treated as a prospective tenant, I can't imagine the problems you would have to deal with as a tenant.
