Pictures with the Nexus 5 from last nights fireworks. Was holding a baby at the same time but as you can see, the focus wasn't really getting it. Mind you, most of these were in +HDR Mode. +Chip Colandreo

+Kip Walsh Thanks for sharing these. I'm impressed and pleasantly surprised the N5 did this well. Fireworks are difficult to photograph well, even with a high-end DSLR in hand. I agree with +Mike Martins the N5's shutter is very slow for any given exposure, and you can see that with the fireworks. Though, to be honest, this is better than I expected. Good autofocus with that much smoke in the air is virtually impossible, anyway, so we can't really fault the N5 for that. Well done. Great experiment.

Just out for a walk with the puppy and thought would try out my new Phone Camera. Turned out quite nice.

I use the Google+ auto backup feature for my photos. I love this feature and normally it works very well. I have noticed that a handful of pictures, are not uploading. I have tried to manually upload them via "Back up All" under AutoBackup settings, but it just says "Complete". There is seemingly no correlation between the photos that are missing. Sometimes they are ones taken at the same time as others, sometimes not. Ones before and ones after have been uploaded. Any advice?

Going to a fireworks display in a couple hours. Any tips for pictures with the Nexus 5 to capture the fireworks?

Yeah, bring a backup camera. ;-) I actually don't have a huge beef with the N5's camera, but both the autofocus and shutter speed are noticeably slow. I'll be curious to see how it handles the fireworks display. Please report back, if you can.

First proper outdoor shots. Quite happy with the results.

Nothing done to them at all. All shot in the +HDR mode - but simply selected from the albums in G+ photos

Lovely local old fashioned pub. Lots of Good food options and a good selection of beers, lagers and cider. Often has real ale and cider festivals which are with checking out. Friendly staff who actually remember an order. Great during the winter when the fire is burning. Mind your head on the beams.

My first time here with some friends from work, although a few of them had been there years ago and approved my choice. It was a decent pub with a good selection of Ales and Ciders - which suited our needs. Was pretty busy inside and out due to the weather, and for the first couple of hours we had a standing table only, but as the evening went on, we managed to get a sit down table. We ordered food which everyone enjoyed. Staff were pretty quick to serve once they stopped chatting. Allowed us to run a tab which helped! The gents toilet is pretty cramped - so don't walk in their too quick or you might knock some poor unsuspecting chap into the urinal. Didn't get to go downstairs so can't comment on that. Overall a good experience in a good location for transport, and not so busy that we couldn't find an area to congregate nor that we were delayed at the bar. Will visit again.
