What a company. It's very rare that you come across a company that exceeds your expectations and delivers amazing service, but this is exactly what Kingfisher did. We had timber windows and a very large aluminum framed glass sliding door installed by Kingfisher about 2.5 years ago. Recently, one of four panes of glass in the sliding door shattered into millions of tiny pieces, spontaneously one night, when thankfully, no one was in the room. We found out later that it was ` very rare occurrence caused by a metal inclusion in the glass which was due to the manufacturing process (i.e. nothing to do with Kingfisher, but the liability of their glass manufacturer). With three small children, I was very worried that if the glass came from a faulty batch, that the same thing could happen in the future to one of the other panes of glass. I was keen to get all panes removed and replaced. The owner of the company, Paul, personally dealt with our case. He told me that with grandchildren himself, he could totally understand my fear and that he would take our case up with the glass manufacturer (as glass breakages are not covered by the warranty). When the manufacturer confirmed that they would only replace the broken pane, Paul put his hand in his own pocket and replaced all of the other panes, on behalf of Kingfisher, with extra toughened glass. He kept me informed throughout the whole process and even turned up on site when the replacement installation went ahead, to make sure that things went smoothly. I am truly impressed with Kingfisher - despite its size, the company is not some faceless organisation but is friendly, helpful and has real personality which clearly comes from the very top. The emphasis on customer service is extraordinary in this day and age of e-commerce. It was an exceptional experience. I really would highly recommend Kingfisher. We will certainly use them again if we ever need to. Thanks very, very much Paul and co!

Called into the showroom, spoke at length to the very nice sales person who informed us that we would get a telephone call later that day with regards new windows, doors + bi fold doors. Guess what, No call :-( ....week later still no call We called them and again was promised a call regarding the above and guess what..... yep you guessed it, NO CALL AGAIN....week later still no call. Well we cant review the products but we can tell you that the sales side is rubbish. We need complete new windows, doors etc. and have made three attempts at getting Kingfisher to quote us but i guess they don't need the money. In a way I'm glad they never got back to us because if this is an example of what they are like to deal with when I'm trying to give them money, then i dredd to think what the'd be like if we'd had an installation problem. My advice would be to steer clear of Kingfisher Windows, there are many good window company's out there who won't waste your time like they have ours. The content of this review is an accurate description of our experience of dealing with Kingfisher Windows.

Response from the owner - a year ago
Hello David, We're very sorry to hear this. We always aim to book appointments there and then with anyone who decides they'd like to go ahead when they visit our showroom. We record a note of all telephone conversation and unfortunately we don't have any record of any communication with you. We can assure you that this is not typical of how we do business and would like to apologise sincerely for any inconvenience caused.

Excellent service from start to finish. We recently renovated a bungalow and Kingfisher Windows replaced all the uPVC windows, composite door, internal sliding door and brand new conservatory. I chose Kingfisher because of the positive experience I had with them at our old property, where they fitted excellent quality sash-style windows in our Victorian terrace. The sales person was very good, not at all pushy and he kept us well informed prior to installation. The fitters were efficient, tidy and respectful of our property. I felt in very safe hands and have already recommended them to a colleague and a neighbour.

With winter now well underway, condensation becomes more of a problem in our homes but also in our conservatories. Below, we explain a little about why this happens and what can be done to try and prevent it.
