nymag.com picks King SPA & Fitness for fall outerwear fashion shoot.

Looking at the photos in today's installment of Out of the Box, you'd never know that the initial concept was as simple as "Let's shoot some coats." Photographer YoungJun Koo and stylist Turner didn't hit on their Korean-bathhouse-rave theme until they were relatively far along in the process. "The concept came to us randomly as we started to pick out the final outfits," says Koo, who also shoots the Cut's fashion month street style. "New York is filled with interesting places and we wanted to utilize these settings for the shoot."...

I was happy to be introduced to King Spa & Fitness last summer. It is a reasonably priced facility. Admission fee includes use of clean uniforms, towels, a new toothbrush & toothpaste, a variety of toiletries (you can bring your own, as well), hot & cold baths, various hot saunas and cold spas, quiet rooms for resting and sleeping, media areas, games areas. The choice of additional services are also reasonable.

This was my first time there and I found it to be an extraordinary experience. I was lucky it wasnt too busy. I could spend all day there.. Especially on cold gloomy winter days. I feel the health benefits ! My skin is glowing. Love it.

I wish i could rewind back the time and never came here...my life mistake. I loved facility and it was fun while i was here- But there was a hygiene issue. I got infected by this virus (I have never been this embarrassed) This post is to warm people who are easily get infected- Dont ever come. If you are healthy you might be fine.

Great Spa with great services. Most massages are not included in the admission fee and the shuttle from Downtown Manhattan its confusing because once you get to the address you need to guess which one is their shuttle bus

The King Spa experience was decent until our experience with several RUDE employees. 1. A Body massage cost $65 plus tax. When you check-out they inform you that there is a $20 tip added, which is somewhere near 30%. The massage wasn't that great, but I still told the RUDE lady that I would instead tip $10. Ms. Rude was so upset she began speaking Korean to another employee and asked me if I didn't like my massage (finally she spoke english again). 2. Valet Parking in the front of the facility has no signs posted of cost for parking. In this world of debit and credit cards I only has a single dollar to tip. I felt bad that I only had one dollar, but the valet driver got upset. He said the valet parking cost $2, so I found some change in the car and gave it to him. He then walked back to my car and tried to give the change back. 3. Be prepared to have your bags checked when you enter (fine with me) and when you EXIT the facility (NOT FINE - when asked why I was told it was to make sure that I didn't take any towels, etc.)

Such a relaxing place. It's very clean and the staff is always helpful. Come on weekdays to avoid the crowd and get a free juice. Took the shuttle here and it's always on time. It's very precise so every minute counts!

Tried this place on a Groupon. Really unique experience - highlight was the various saunas - the hottest of which goes to 200 celsius. Felt like being in an oven - not pleasant but memorable. Downsides: very crowded (although this was on a holiday) and parking is valet only.
