Sad to say, this is not the old King Crab on Halsted! Just had dinner for 4 on a slow Sunday night. Not many customers, but it took so long to get 12 oysters that our main courses came 2 minutes later. Not the waitress' fault, she was friendly and tried hard, but the oyster shucker took forever. No bread, rolls or crackers were served before or with the appetizers, it would have been a good way to make the wait more palatable. The food that did come was, sorry to say, subpar for the price paid. The snow crab legs were cold, the soft shell crab lacked flavor, french fries were tasteless, and the shrimp Alfredo was fair, but no grated cheese came with or was offered. Our waitress had to make drinks and serve (it seemed like) most of the customers there, while other servers stood around with hands in their pockets. Seems like staff distribution and tasking needs some work. May have been just an off night, but sadly, the whole package did NOT justify the prices.

Food: Really great crab legs - both the Snow and King! Oysters on the half shell are the highlight here though - always fresh. I prefer something a little brinier, so the Chesapeake Oysters are my go to, but the Blue Point are a little more meaty. Service: The waiters/waitresses are always really friendly and helpful. Good service! Atmosphere: I get the theme, but I think the menu needs a little update. This place can have a lot more service than it gets with a few updates because the food is great!

The food was good my husband and I enjoyed our night out, the lemon cake was AMAZING minus the hair that I found under it, But it was sooo good I almost didnt say anything about it I ordered another piece at no cost and enjoyed every bit of it no hair. my waitress was great.

A divey, old-school place that really knows what they're doing with seafood. The decor will not impress anyone, but I like it. Nautical themed, and probably hasn't changed in the 30 years or so this place has been open. Service was fine. It's not a fine dining experience, but the food is outstanding, and that's why you come here. Prices were expensive, but reasonable. Crab costs money. They have many different crab options, from jumbo king crab legs to dungenness, snow crab, and I think soft shell too. The crab is served hot with drawn butter, just like it should be. Definitely sit on the back patio if it's open. Now that Glen's Diner no longer has Glen, I guess this is your spot for unpretentious, solid seafood. Yum.

Waitresses are extremely friendly and the oysters are great. The bar specials are cheap and tastey. The beer on tap is also fresh.

My friend and I stopped at the bar before we left for a quick cocktail. Danielle, the bartender was extremely knowledgeable and made a great margarita. We will def be back!!

The sitting was very close together everytime the waiter passed by i had to move my seat. The food was not what i though it would be. I should have went to Red Lopster. Oh i could i forget the parking which there was only one valet and it took me about an hour to get my car.

You get the "classic" feel of this crab house. The atmosphere is very relaxed, although a few other times I've been here it's more upbeat. The food was tremendous, I did a crab dinner. Highly recommended!
