Yes. Yes. *YES!!*
Dear Parents,
Nice to meet you; Please let me introduce myself , I am the poor sap who has retrieved many of the dumped  former Easter bunnies and their progeny from parks and wildlife areas, kill shelters, and even from neglect cases with the help of law enforcement, Animal Control and the SPCA.
Yes, all from your neighborhood.

Today your children had a wonderful bunny experience meeting some of these animals that have been saved from certain death.
How do I know that? Because  I'm the one that saved them.
There are SO many rabbits needing to be rescued in Los Angeles and surrounds that we now have a criteria and order for taking them in.
For example, my rescue is FULL - beyond full, as are rabbit rescues nationwide.
In order for me to take an unwanted pet, the alternative has to be DEATH.

Please keep this in mind this Easter.
The animals your child experienced today are no more like  pet store or Craigslist purchased animals than seeing eye or therapy dogs are like the untrained yappers next door that make you hate your neighbors. .

The animals your kids were photographed with today are here because they were rescued and would have been dead if they had not been.
They were someone’s pet once. At some point I received these animals and nursed them back to health, socialized and fixed them.
Now your kid wants one just like this.

The only way you will get this is by rescuing.
Pet stores, breeders and Craigslist do NOT offer  fixed, rehabbed and socialized bunnies. In fact, it can be argued that they offer just the opposite
and do their best to break the bunnies by selling them indiscriminately -along with improper feed and caging. They want Mr. Fluffy to die so they can make more of your money.

I offer an alternative:
If you would like to borrow a bunny or two this Easter and learn how to become part of the solution to this problem,
I would be happy to provide everything you need- including the fixed rehabbed and social bunnies. And if you find that rabbits aren't right for you- You can give them back!

A true Easter story of new life and redemption……

You can learn more about these animals by simply visiting  WWW.RABBIT.ORG or by calling me at 714 264 4241 or searching for RABBIT RESCUE in your browser.

Thank you very much

Here is your list of Arizona d-bags who voted for SB1062.

Every one of these bigots need to be out of a job as of yesterday, but only an upcoming election can kick them to the curb.

Do not forget.

They Rule Ever wanted to see the connections of the US ruling class?

While dated (some of the data on boards has not been updated in a while), They Rule is a great example of how technology can pull data together into a view not previously possible.

This is not the first time this (board relationships) has been done. The article Interlocking Directorates in the Corporate Community ( ) provides some context on past efforts to understand people in power.

And going forward, there are projects focusing on building people networks for journalistic reporting. LittleSis ( ) is a free database detailing the connections between powerful people and organizations.

This former IT/Software/3Phase-EE geek still loves technology as much as sports, food, drink, her yarn, and of course her house rabbits. When not recruiting new knitters into the fibery fold, rescuing unwanted Easter bunnies, throwing darts, pairing a fine drink with delicious food, or watching a sports match, she can be found writing about her observations and thoughts on her personal blog (

I have come into this shop to purchase specific items, and each time I have come in, the shop is dirty due to dog hair and dust. The sale yarn I handled was dusty enough that I ended up with a sinus headache. The shop does not carry the popular publications like VOGUE Knitting or Rowan. There is a $10 purchase required for all credit/debit card purchases, so if you want to buy one skein of yarn to finish a project, you have to pay in cash or check or else buy extra items to meet the minimum. After seeing how rudely the owner treats customers, I won't be back.

This is my second time after a horrible first experience this past Easter Sunday for brunch. Decided that I am not ever going to Briar Patch Tea Room in Poquoson, VA unless I am paid to do so. This restaurant serves only bagged tea; there is nothing loose at all. Not only did the server assume I wanted just a cup (which was filthy), but put the tea bags WITH THEIR TAGS inside the pot. (Had to fish them out with my fork.) My lunchtime sandwich crabcake was mostly filler and the bill was $9.95 for that and the cup of tea (what I was charged). As for ambiance, the sparse crowd here is much older, so what would you call "Elderly folks only come here" for this kind of atmosphere? No hip tea drinkers are in sight like at other various tea houses I have enjoyed. The walls are filled with handcrafted items for sale as if you were in a "grandmother's yard sale."

If I could I would give this place a negative number of stars. Was taken there by friends as an out of town guest. Wine selection is okay, the food is not as great as expected. But the worst part was when the manager on duty said, "Just because you are vegan does not mean the cheese sauce (on the Bunny Rancheros) is bad for you." This was to my friend who has Celiacs and cannot have any wheat products whatsoever. By the way, my girlfriend had ordered that dish with the GF pancakes, the pork sausage and also asked that no cheese sauce be added. What made that dinner most aggravating was the lack of apologies made for the whole experience. The reviewer who used the word arrogant to describe this place is correct.
