I'm back on the Mama merry-go-round. My daughter and her 2 babies (under age 2) are homeless again....1900 miles away. I'm really trying to offer God my "heart sacrifice" and truly trust Him with the outcome. #faith #myIsaac #heartsacrifice  #homeless
It's been a week since I received the call. Again. My Baby Girl - and now her own two Baby Girls - are living in uncertainty. Again. And that set me back on the Mama merry-go-round. But there's not...

Zombies in the Bible. Hilarious! :) #zombies #Biblestories
While this list is not exhaustive, and there are a ton of crazy things we never talk about, here’s my list of five Bible stories they didn't teach at VBS.

"Her role as my wife is not to make me happy. Ideally happiness is by-product of our marriage, but it’s not the goal." Great words, +Jonathan Carone!
I grew up watching Hilary Duff. Recently she said she didn't think marriage was meant to last forever. Here's how I think she got it wrong.

Give me eyes to see, a voice to speak, and the will to act. :) #1000speak   #compassion   #bullying   #injustice   #simple66gal
The 1000 Voices Speak for Compassion organization has chosen "Building from Bullying" as their focus for March. Surprisingly enough (well, not really...God's timing is never coincidental, is it?), ...

Great post! As someone who worked in downtown Chicago, I learned quickly to never give out cash. I will buy an extra breakfast sandwich, and have even walked into a nearby restaurant and let someone order a value meal, but I have no problem saying, "No." And in the past 15 years, it seems more often than not, the beggar usually responds with a nasty insult...proving my decision wise. As for politicians, I have never donated, nor will I. I was pretty strict with my kids, and my oldest grand baby isn't quite 2, but I already know full well, I'll be an easier mark for her & her little sister. giggle I do sponsor a child through Compassion International, and only have occasional concerns with that (but not enough to stop). And, of course, I give to the missionaries our church sponsors. I've met most all of them and know their work is worthwhile and trustworthy, and having great impact. All in all, local and personal is the best bet in my book. :)

Thank you +Kimberly Sutor  When my daughter worked in a downtown office she used to make sandwiches and hand them out on her way to work.   I agree regarding missionaries as I have been involved with ministry my whole life - a minister's kid.  My brother was a missionary in South Africa for over 50 years and I have many uncles and other relatives in the ministry as well -- so hear you loud and clear :)

Yes, the grandkid scenario is going to be tough -- but fun!
