Tried to find an original source for this after seeing it linked on several blogs, but I couldn't, so here it is and please tell me if you know an originator, because it's wonderful:

PS Obviously the point is that Dr. Seuss was cleverly working these high concepts into stories, so don't be snarking on me as if I'm saying anything anti-Seussian, because it's actually recognition of his genius.

Favorite book besides "How Fear of the Unknown Hinders Development of Informed Opinions?" "Why Hitler is Dangerous" my mom was the one who pointed out to me that Yurtle was really Hitler. Seuss was awesome.
