Great post! I couldn't agree more. There are good and bad parts to our social media and chronic illness community. The main point is so we don't feel alone. We want love and compassion from "healthy" friends - we owe the same to our own "spoonie" community.

That sounds so painful! It's definitely worth telling your doctor about. Please write later and let us know what your doctor says!

I agree! Blogging takes up so much of my time and requires organization and planning and work - oh, and did I say work - a lot of work!

The hardest for me is doing things I enjoy. When you get in that funk of depression it seems useless. But you're absolutely right, it's important! Thanks for the great post Nikki!

Great tips Nikki! #2 is always the hardest for me. Especially if I've said I'd attend something and then have to cancel due to a flare. But we can't always control when they're going to hit.

I can relate to all of these Nikki! #2 especially. When I was working we called it just that, my "work facade". It was all I could do to keep up the act during the day and then came home to crash until the alarm would go off the next morning. Eventually it became more than I could do and I stepped away from my career.
You did a great job with all these points!

Great post! I've done every one of these. The ones I have the hardest problem with are challenging the negative thoughts and comparing myself to others - or comparing my current self to my before-illness-self.

Gary, thank you for bravely sharing. It's hard to tell these stories but we do need to bring awareness to how this illness impacts our daily lives.

Wonderful interview.  I love how Anne said, "No one knows what’s in the hearts of people more than the one who created those hearts. "  Love her heart to be used by God through her writing!
