Written by me. One person's feedback, "There is so much in this piece. I've been mulling over it since you posted. I think sometimes we pretend we are living in a post patriarchal culture and nothing could be further from the truth. Big hugs. There are so many layers to unravel."
I view myself as a whole self who just happens to be the gender that, culturally, legally, religiously, and physically, is a less-than.

Since Google informed a couple of years ago that they were going to start using HTTPS as a ranking signal sites started to migrate not only for security reasons (although this should be really the main criteria) but also to look for this additional ranking boost (coincidentally a few days ago people were asking about this as more HTTPS sites were identified to be shown in top search results).
Avoid HTTP to HTTPS Web migration SEO mistakes with this easy to follow checklist with tasks to do before, during and after it. Check it out!

Designing the experience you want to provide to your customers is just as important as your product or service because it will position your company and earn voluntary product or brand ambassadors. ‪#‎UX‬ ‪#‎UXDesign‬ ‪#‎UXStrategy‬ ‪#‎UserExperience‬ http://usabilitygeek.com/ux-strategy-it-is-all-about-the-experience/
A UX strategy is key to planning and designing your experience. This in turn guarantees a consistent, positive experience to your users

"I know I'll get backlash for feeling this way. But I was there when the industry was born and I have a deep respect for the people who were there too and are never acknowledged for their role before they retired or moved into other things. I don't want to forget them. I wish to thank them and acknowledge their contributions."

"Moz's Peter Meyers Ranking #0: SEO for Answers, 26-July-2016, discusses his current research into Google's Featured Snippets: how to get your stuff cherry picked and the possible benefits.....(snip) There is no great secret to on page SEO. Just as there is no great secret to accessibility, usability, user experience, etc. Much, perhaps most, certainly in outline, have been discussed here at Cre8 since the beginning. If you as a webdev have been getting the fundamentals right, i.e. learning from Cre8 conversations for the past 15+ years you have not only had the benefit of great customer results but at no extra charge or effort great SE results as the engines catch up to what visitors desire."

"When I try SEO tools and am confused within 3 seconds, to me, that's an issue but more than that, proves the SEO tool was not tested properly during development, staging and in production."

Sometimes a web designer is cross trained in usability, user centered design, software testing, information architecture, internet marketing, social media marketing, graphic design, content writing, application programming fields. This is as rare as spotting an alien ship in the sky, but companies always look for such a person. (Update a dozen years later…it’s called “Management has no freaking idea what the hell is going on.”) Realistically, it takes a village to raise a website.

"Without call to action prompts, and well displayed, logically labeled navigation links and credible content, the chance of someone remaining on a web page is pretty slim. (Update a dozen years later…the barriers got worse. Ads that cover content. Popups that beg. Carousels. Big ass images. Colored text against colored backgrounds. So sorry.)"
