How Do You Feel About Your Shoes?
I don't often give much thought to footwear, but +Eli Davidson
posed an interesting question in this HOA: https://plus.google.com/events/c4qv7oa8ugvcerc9aaj8a9t8nb4
Generally I'm happy wearing whatever's comfortable, but I'll admit some shoes (or boots) inspire confidence and creativity more than others. Initially in the comment section of Eli's HOA, I mentioned my cowboy boots.
I treated myself to my first pair at age 40, ditched a dismal relationship shortly thereafter, and hit the road in a semi three months later... hoohah! (Photo & thoughts shared in this post:) https://plus.google.com/103967352121709323438/posts/HZsPkokwQpT
While those boots served a purpose (think Nancy Sinatra crooning "These Boots Were Made For Walkin'") and became the foundation for some major life changes, there's another side of me... a softer side that yearns to reflect on the things I've seen, heard, read, and learned since then from another angle -- in heels. Somewhere between the two is the attitude, altitude, and voice I've been struggling to relay as a writer and a human being.Do shoes make a difference in how you approach life?
For me, shoes are still externals (ornamental ones at that) but the day I slipped on this pair was the day I felt the stirrings of all things possible... and I've learned to never discount unlikely sources of inspiration. How about you?
If you're so inclined, please post a photo of your favorite shoes and tell +Eli Davidson
