I'm proud to be speaking at WordCamp Calgary. Actually I'm stoked!

Presentation Description: Since the advent of the internet more and more artists are creating online portfolios. Whether it’s to seek gallery representation or to self-represent; art has definitely gone global. So how do artists compete?

It all starts with the website. Not your average run of the mill site; fine art websites and blogs have specific requirements. Kim will discuss everything from the ideal WordPress theme for fine art to perils of image gallery management and presentation. Included will be common mistakes that artists make on their sites.

Tickets go on sale today. Register at http://2013.calgary.wordcamp.org/

I downloaded Gimp, the open source alternative to Photoshop.

Do any of you use it? Is it worth a new learning curve?

Finally received a installation shot of my piece Step Lightly in the exhibition At the Grassi Museum in Germany. She's on the top shelf on the right.

This is the guest post I wrote for Alyson Stanfield at Art Biz Blog and this is the exhibition that I was awarded the grant for. Love it when it all comes together from a simple blog post and Google images.
