The refresh cycle on ipods is usually every two years... this last year was an off year. I do think the ipod classic will go bye bye one day because it is not an iOS device. The touch is basically an iphone 4s with out the phone ability so apps like spotify will work over wifi. The shuffle and nano are perfect for athletes and active people in general because you dont want to drop you iphone when your out on the field or running a marathon because its expensive to replace while the Nano/shuffles are not that bad of a price point. So RIP ipod classic... and wonder what the next versions of the others will look like.
