My experience began online with the Kia Country website. The site was easy to navigate and I instantly found the vehicle I wanted. I contacted Ayanna Casey, for internet sales, and was amazed to receive a response to my offer within no time. Upon reaching terms with Ayanna, she notified me that Kia Country would arrange and pay for accommodations at a near by hotel, because we were 3.5 hours away from the dealership. As soon as we arrived at the dealership, we were promptly greeted with a smile and a warm hello by Corey Sullivan. He introduced us to Ayanna, whom we had only conversed via electronic communications, and we started the ordinarily tedious process of paperwork, information, and exchange of trade-in vehicle...BUT this was not the case at Kia Country!!!! Corey was an absolute Joy to talk to. The entire process took about an hour, including signing all papers, a complete paperwork walk through, a complete car walk through...Everything, yet it felt like a few minutes with an old friend. He made us feel welcome, and joked with us, we even shared pictures of our puppies...our two dobermans, and his lab and lab/rottweiler...When it came time to sign the official documents, we were introduced to Sam Washington Jr. He verified all the information promptly and explained everything without prompting before we signed it. We never felt pressured or hassled to buy additional items, and the entire process was the BEST car buying experience I have EVER had. I will definitely drive back to Kia Country to buy again, and I will recommend Kia Country of Charleston to anybody who wants to feel like car buying should feel...EXCITING, HAPPY, PLEASED, and CARED FOR. Ayanna, Corey, and Sam made my experience spectacular, and on top of that, we stayed in a hotel for the night, so our drive home was a fresh start in our new car, that we LOVE!!! Thank you to Everyone for making our experience the best possible!

Very good, painless experience. Mike Brand was my salesman, very good, didn't waste my time or his time by playing games. Norm the product specialist was very helpful, informative and good sense of humor. I would definitely recommend Kia Country.

Bad experience. I actually had Mr Mountain Man Business Person, not manager because he has no idea how to manage, tell me the deal was off and to leave!! Never been told that before. I had a deal in hand with the Internet Manager, again I use the term manager loosely, but was not honored by the salesman he pawned me off onto. I was told that he was incorrect in his pricing, but as a "manager' shouldn't he know better? After being there well over an hour, we were still $2200 off of what was originally quoted me. When I called them out and said they could not be trusted to keep their word or to back their own "managers", Mr Mountain Man told me to leave, the deal was off, and he didn't need my business, so I left. I had everything needed when I walked into the place, trade-in value, my payoff, rebates, etc, and I guess he was not used to people doing their homework and just signing on the dotted line. Nothing will ever come of this because I am only one lost customer, but one piece of advice, when buying a NEW car, there is always another dealer to go to as well as the internet. Do not take any sort of garbage and double talk from the dealer. If it doesn't feel right, it probably isn't, so don't hesitate to walk away. They are in it to make money and do not care about customer satisfaction.

We certainly understand and appreciate your frustration especially since we were the 4th dealership you visited. In fact, you are for the most part correct. As with most dealerships, the Internet Sales Manager (ISM) provides advance information to customers prior to a showroom visit at which time, a customer is introduced to a Product Specialist. Each of these individuals has specialized training and skills to provide you with the best possible service. You were given a TruCar quote by our ISM. We are obligated to honor the TruCar price which is the lowest possible sales price offered and we did. In addition, our ISM provided you with a Black Book quote for your trade which our Sales Manager increased by $300 as you requested. You then wanted additional rebates and incentives that you found on our website, but that were not promised to you. There are many offers and disclaimers which may be easy to confuse. We cannot allow every possible incentive or discount on every car, but we try to find the best possible car and price for each customer. As a TruCar customer you were guaranteed that. While we regret the misunderstanding, we hope you will agree that it is important that we maintain an environment of professionalism and congeniality for both our customers and staff. Please know that we do not ever condone or use deceptive business practices. As the #1 Dealer in the Carolinas for the third straight year, we place the highest value on customer service. We’re genuinely sorry, that we fell short this time.

Best experience we could have had. We looked at several different Kia Optimas. So we knew what we wanted...WE even "test drove" another one from a different dealership for 4 days but could never come to an agreement on price and financing. We found this Optima online and immediately were contacted by the internet sales department, set up an appointment to come in that evening, introduced to our salesman Mike, explained our downpayment, monthly payment and interest rate expectations ect. Left the dealership that night because of computer/internet issues ( we were only there for about an hour that night)...They called at 9am the next morning..Had everything ready to go, we walked in on a lunch break and were in and out in about one hour...Great experience.NOT TO MENTION we got a brand new 2015 Optima for almost the same price the other dealership wanted for the 2013 Optima with 35,000 miles. Highly recommend..Thanks Shannon and Nichole

I talked to four Kia dealers and visited one before going to Kia Country of Charleston, which is a three-hour drive for me. I was about to give up, and thought, "I'll try Charleston" forgetting exactly how long a drive it is, just from I-95 down route 17 to Charleston (an hour right there, on a good day!). They had the exact car in stock. Exact. Right colors and options. The whole shebang. I sent an e-mail that night to the internet manager (Mike Brand) and got a call back the next day with a price, which was $500 below the Edmunds "True Market Value" (TMV) pricing, which is not a steal, but not a rip-off, either. When you want a specific model and color, you can't expect a super discount. Nevertheless, it was below factory invoice and a very reasonable price to pay for the car. Well, we got there and the car was there. It was out of gas and it started to rain heavily - a real Carolina downpour! We got into the car and went to gas it up. The salesman Tim LeRay, was VERY knowledgeable about the car. You could tell he was a "car guy" and liked cars and had taken the time to really understand their products. He seemed to have an encyclopedic memory. OK, so the car was what we wanted, and quite frankly a lot nicer than we expected. We were cross-shopping this with the Mini Cooper (Countryman or Clubman or 4-door) and the VW Golf Sportwagon - all of which are cars that, similarly optioned, would run $10,000 more than the KIA. In fact, for the price of this KIA, you could barely touch a stripped MINI or GOLF. So we sit down to do the deal. Here comes the screw-job, right? Sell us the floor mats that came with it, or "undercoating" or sealant or some such nonsense? Or say, "Sorry, the price they quoted you was wrong!" Well, I was prepared to pay cash for the car, but they offered me 0% financing over 60 months for the EXACT SAME price, so why not? Fastest closing on a car I've ever had. And no hidden surprises in the contract - what they quoted me over the phone, and by e-mail (within a margin of error of course). Total time, including test driving the car and waiting for the rain to stop, about two hours, which isn't bad for a new car dealer. Sometimes I feel like Diogenes, looking for the last honest car dealer. I found it - Kia Country of Charleston!

I have purchased 5 Kia's from this dealership and have been extremely happy with the purchase as well as for anything needed in between. I recently had an issue with my 2011 Sportage and Sam Washington fixed me up with a loaner car for the weekend and my car was serviced first thing that Monday morning. I was called and told of what was wrong before they fixed it so that I would be well informed. I recommend them to anyone. They treat you like family before, during and after the sell.

Really good car service. Our car advisor Chelsea was great to work with. She was very corteous and knowledgeable. She noted that one of the services I was requesting was not needed yet and could be scheduled for the next visit. I appreciated her being honest and not pushing for services the car didn't need. This makes the difference. The car was delivered on time, at a great price and excellent service.

I bought a certified used Kia Sorrento from Kia Country of Charleston and the volume control on the steering wheel was broken. When I asked if they could fix it, they quickly ordered the part and called me to schedule an appointment when the part came in. They gave me a range of times to fit my schedule and when I showed up early, they took the vehicle in right away. I was personally escorted to the service area since it was my first time visiting and was left in capable hands. They not only fixed the volume control but they washed the car while I was waiting. The lobby was clean and there were bathrooms in the service area, a vending machine and freshly made coffee. I was very impressed and all of the service personnel called me by my name when they greeted me. If this is the preview of the great service that I am to recieve for my new Kia, I'm glad I picked Kia Country of Charleston and not the Kia dealership in Goose Creek. Thanks to all of you in the service area! Job well done.
