Here is all of the information I have gathered regarding the Portal Lockdown and Forced Glyph Hack
bug happening to quite a number of Ingress players. Both Resistance and Enlightened agents on iOS and Android
are having serious issues with a game breaking bug. We are unable to play. What does work:
1. Upgrading teammate resonators works.
2. Intel Map works.
3. Redeeming passcodes works.
4. Recycling gear works.
5. Dropping keys works.
6. COMM messaging and notifications work.
7. Hacks agent stat number increases.
8. Glyphs agent stat / Translator badge number increases.
9. Trekker agent stat number increases.
10. AP increases and XM depletes as expected.
11. Power cubes are able to be used as expected.What does NOT work:
1. Installing mods does not work.
2. Claiming neutral portals does not work.
3. Installing resonators in empty slots does not work.
4. Linking does not work for me. This results in "Neutral Origin Portal" or "No Linkable Portals". Some agents are able to successfully link.
5. Recharging resonators does not work whether remote nor in range. I simply can not recharge. Some agents can recharge within range of a portal.
6. XMP7 & XMP8 do 1% damage no matter the level or mod status of portal you are attacking.
7. Normal quick Hacking results in "Hack Acquired No Items" or forcing you to Glyph Hack.
8. Glyph Hacking results in "Hack Acquired No Items" no matter how many glyphs you successfully input.
9. 1. Force Sync your device. In Ingress go to Ops > Device > Force Sync.
- Android devices: From your device's Home screen, visit Settings > Apps > Ingress, and touch Force Stop followed by Clear Data.
- iOS devices: From your device’s Home screen, visit Settings > Privacy > Location Services and toggle Ingress off then back on.
2. Reboot your device.
3. Sign out and delete Ingress from your device. Reinstall.

5. Email Niantic and FILE A SUPPORT TICKET

Several agents are reporting they have been returned to normal active status.
1. Load Ingress.
2. Attempt to charge a portal, use an XMP, or Hack.

"Thanks for your report, Agent. We believe what you were experiencing was a temporary issue, and should be resolved. Please try taking another action in your Scanner."FINAL UPDATE 2/12:
Most agents have reported the issue is resolved. If your scanner is still malfunctioning, follow all directions listed above. Please check that you have not violated Terms of Service. Please file a support ticket. I do not work for Niantic so I can only advise you to keep trying and be patient.
