My mother was just going on about this last night.  She was a bit hot under the collar and pointed out just how ugly the Olympic letter was.

Companies really need to learn how to promote themselves in the new technology age.  Painful as it is for me to say, the accountants are wrong.  The lawyers too.  Nobody is losing money by letting a bunch of knitters organize a knitting event during your big show.

If the Olympics wanted to realize that revenue they think was being lost they should have put their stamp of approval on it.  Then let the social network do its thing.  More viewers are better for ratings than fewer.

Picking on women, especially knitters just makes them look like bullies.
