How many people here are going to the Charm City Gameday at Games & Stuff in Glen Burnie on Saturday 7? Because if you are, or don't have any plans, you should totally come, and sign up for one of my games:

Sorry to put a plug in for my first post. Just trying to get some players.
Title: Stone and Sorcery: A Cavemaster Sword and Sorcery Adventure. Host: event staff. 10000 years ago, our homo habilis ancestors sat around a fire and played Cavemaster, the stone age RPG. See how they gamed in this adventure inspired by sword and sorcery. A grim and perilous journey awaits.

I'm out of town at a BBQ tomorrow, I'm afraid, but the lineup for the Gameday was indeed intriguing!

I saw folks playing Cavemaster at NTRPGCon, but didn't get a chance to sit in or hassle Jeff about it; would love to play a demo game someday.

While I get that nothing exists in a vacuum, aren't most fantastic history RPGs all guilty of kind of ignoring the heavier stuff? Europe's history is so steeped in war that I'm surprised it's not still red everywhere, but in D&D it's kind of glossed over in favor of "Pelor protect us, the Orcs are coming!"

After doing some cursory Google-fu I found the name of a paper published in '67, "Cultural acquisition of a specific learned response among rhesus monkeys", wherein a similar experiment was conducted but with pairs of monkeys instead of groups that yielded the same results.

Can't actually verify that the paper in question ever existed, though, but it's been referenced a few times in some other papers so...maybe?

Stupid Privateer Press, trying to take my money. Well I won't have it. Nope! Not gonna buy another RPG right now, not after picking up the Edge of the Empire Beta. Nope
