Zen quote of the day:
“Drink your tea slowly and reverently, as if it is the axis on which the world earth revolves - slowly, evenly, without rushing toward the future. Live the actual moment. Only this moment is life.” ~Thich Nhat Hanh

That's a nice quote.

And now, I shall drink my tea.

Thich Nhat absolutely drops it again. Awesome

sort of totally unlike drinking a dunkin donuts running from meeting to meeting ;-)

You, the ADHD-, the 'always-on' generation, seeking serenity and peace in zen buddhism ... that's quite funny.

Great words to live by...putting it into practice - well I'm a work in progress

o.O WHERE'S THE COFFEE!!!???

Can that by done with beer as well? Nope I think not

Ah crap! I commented on a KR post! MUTE MUTE!!!

Also the earth's axis is not stationary, it moves based on interaction with the sun and the moon.

I prefer, "enjoy your burrito"...but whatever works

Very good translation from the original Vulcan. Thanks

Probably drinks 'Rose' hip tea.

I don't understand...someone break it down for me please.

That's why I go to Dunkin' Donuts for coffee. Got stuff to do. :-)

Put some money in the douche jar, Kevin.

I like Kevin, but seeming to be an internet millionaire that has lost touch with (most people's) reality, ala Tom from Myspace. Not sayin' I'm not jealous...

Nice but can not be conducted easily in life.

An exercise in mindfulness and right concentration.

tea tastes like hot fragrant water to me;)

I think this applies to more then just drinking tea, ....or is that the point? is drinking tea just a metaphor

Your cup of tea is only the right temperature for a fleeting moment. Enjoying this moment is the goal I think. The rest is a fun adventure in trying to stop time.

Wow, Kevin, are you trying to single-handedly resurrect Google+? I check back every couple days, but yours are about the only new posts!

Love Thich Nhat Hanh and this beautiful guidance is perfect! TY Kevin!

+James Jelinek Check out my Tea Master, David Lee Hoffman (of the Phoenix Collection) ... they did a film about him a few years ago (which you can get on Netflix) All in this Tea (http://www.lesblank.com/more/TeaFilm.html). There is also a ton of YouTube videos of David Lee (and of +Jesse Jacobs and the Samovar Tea Lounge). Those guys can really educate you about Puerhs, Oolongs, Blacks & Sencha. (Disclaimer: I have Tea boards on Pinterest etc. where these guys are featured)
