"More than 70% of researchers have tried and failed to reproduce another scientist's experiments, and more than half have failed to reproduce their own experiments. Those are some of the telling figures that emerged from Nature's survey of 1,576 researchers who took a brief online questionnaire on reproducibility in research.

The data reveal sometimes-contradictory attitudes towards reproducibility. Although 52% of those surveyed agree that there is a significant 'crisis' of reproducibility, less than 31% think that failure to reproduce published results means that the result is probably wrong, and most say that they still trust the published literature...."
Survey sheds light on the ‘crisis’ rocking research.

"To the alarmist camp, of course, this is yet further evidence that ‘deniers’ are heartless, anti-scientific conspiracy theorists who don’t read peer-reviewed papers and couldn’t give a toss if the world’s marine life is dissolved in a pool of acid due to man’s selfishness and greed. Unfortunately for the doom-mongers, we sceptics have just received some heavy fire-support from a neutral authority."
There was a breathtakingly beautiful BBC series on the Great Barrier Reef recently which my son pronounced himself almost too…

This is good, but reason will not change the religious view of the Altruists of Doom--especially now that other people's money is being diverted to their People's Temple...

+J Henry Phillips Ayn Rand novels are for _children, or at least men who refuse to grow up. There isn't one place in the world that functions with a libertarian government or anything close. Even to approach that nonsense results in chaos and warlordism.

Reality is here for you any time you want to visit.

poor Warmists, they suck at science so much it hurts.

btw - please realize that the US has actually been cooling for over a decade.
The measured US temperature data from USHCN shows that the US is on a long-term cooling trend. But the reported temperatures from NOAA show a strong warming trend. Measured : ushcn.tavg.latest.raw....

more hatefacts from the EIA:

"U.S. overall energy related emissions are 12% below 2005 levels, and electricity generated related emissions are that of 1993."

Yes, but nobody here is afraid of CO2, ghosts, Satan, The Wolfman, The Killer Weed, the Bogeyman... The only thing that's bothersome is taxation and asset forfeiture.--I'm voting libertarian!

of course, the BBC has bought the Warmist end-times fantasy hook line and sinker, but I am pleased to see them report:

"The sensors show significant greening of something between 25% and 50% of the Earth's vegetated land"

though they have to caveat:

"But the researchers say the fertilisation effect diminishes over time."

thanks, dorks.
The emissions of carbon dioxide from industrial society has spurred a huge growth in trees and other plants, says a report.

And there's water vapor--another greenhouse gas produced by the evil, Satanic myrmidons of solar energy--solely for the purpose of making altruistic and coercive communism look bad.

"Behavioral science has many weaknesses unique to itself. Remember that the point of the discipline is to discover general truths that will be useful in predicting human behavior. More than 70 percent of the world’s published psychology studies are generated in the United States. Two-thirds of them draw their subjects exclusively from the pool of U.S. undergraduates, according to a survey by a Canadian economist named Joseph Henrich and two colleagues. And most of those are students who enroll in psychology classes. White, most of them; middle- or upper-class; college educated, with a taste for social science: not John Q. Public. "
One morning in August, the social science reporter for National Public Radio, a man named Shankar Vedantam, sounded a little shellshocked. You couldn’t blame him.

But the 1955 Solomon Asch experiment "Opinions and Social Pressure" is infinitely reproducible. Three out of four educated people lie to fit in with the crowd, unless a defector sides with the truth.

Milo has been killing it lately!  in reference to the attendance:

"Seriously, that was it. 250. I’ve literally banged more people than showed up yesterday to Amber Rose’s exhibition of promiscuity."
I am a young, fresh challenge to the rapidly-weakening authoritarian hegemony in cultural and social debates and I have great hair.

boy, if we could get a Tor exit relay in every library... boom!
Greetings! It's been an exceptionally busy few months over here at the Library Freedom Project. We've been conducting privacy trainings at libraries across the United States and some internationally, and in June we held our first Digital Rights in Libraries conference.
