The Autism Channel is what technology is supposed to do

This story from On The Media is about a Roku channel, but like many great reports, it's about a lot more. To me, it's a reminder that technology can do so much more than simply entertain us and upgrade our creature comfort. The Autism Channel connects a geographically separated community with one another, inspires and teaches by example, and exists due to the power of streaming video through a non-traditional medium. And the report teaches a lot about how we define, regard, and talk about autism in the U.S.
