Apple had to buy Beats to finally get a subscription music service going. Now people expect them to make a car?
That statement is based on nothing other than the laws of common sense. Apple currently sits atop all other companies at the absolute pinnacle of business. They’re now making more money than any other company has… ever. They’re the first company... | Kevin Nunez | College student with a lot on his mind.

"Up to" 23 million? 23 million sounds vastly understated. I'd say it's more along the lines of 70-75 million. Some of these celeb accounts might have 23 million alone.
Twitter's said its active user base is growing, but not every account that's active is necessarily a flesh-and-blood human. Alongside those verified

AOL still has 2.34 million subscribers paying for internet access. My guess is that most of these are people on the older side that don't know any alternatives in rural areas such as satellite internet, or they upgraded to cable along the years but never managed to axe their dial-up subscription.
I love this post from Recode's Peter Kafka, who points out that AOL's solid Q2 numbers aren't really based on its high-profile media properties like The Huffington Post, but rather the dial-up...

If you're buying a new Mac with a wireless mouse or keyboard, don't get the Apple Battery Charger.
If you purchased a desktop Mac lately, you most likely saw the option to add Apple's Battery Charger set for $29 to go along with your purchase. Rechargeable batteries make life easy for those who use a wireless keyboard and mouse, because instead of consistently having to buy batteries once ...

Hollywood cops want their privacy. But regular citizens? Fuck 'em, of course.
The cops may be eager to experiment with drones for tracking bombs and (possibly) suspects, but they're apparently not that keen on people turning the

I've been using Yosemite's first public beta since Thursday... so far, I like what I see.
Last Thursday, Apple released the first public beta of their newest OS, Yosemite. I was going to hold off on installing it on my main machine until it comes out in the fall, but I couldn't help myself and decided to dive in head first and give it a spin. These thoughts are not meant to be a ...

+Toby Ryan I'm excited to see what third party developers can do with extensions. It really opens up a lot of possibilities.

Boy, these phones just keep getting bigger aren't they... now the Nexus 6 is six inches? I feel like I'm probably going to be using the same 4.7" phone until the end of times if I won't be able to upgrade it to a normal size.

Just installed WordPress 4.0 on my site. So far so good, some of the features it brings are nifty but I feel like they should have been implemented a long time ago. Guessing most of the core changes is under the hood.

iStat Menus 5 is out with full Yosemite support!
Two years after the release of version 4.0, Bjango has launched iStat Menus 5 today, adding hundreds of new features and improvements, and bringing a new design for both OS X Mavericks and Yosemite. I've never used all of the functionalities that iStat Menus offers, but I rely on a couple of menus that have […]

If you're reading this, it's likely preaching to the choir... but this is a great post regarding Google+ and why people should use it.
Part social network, part beta system Google+ is something of a black sheep in the world of social media. Even as a young network of three years that has grown faster than many of the current leaders, Google+ has been disparaged and shunned by much of the public for the moves Google has made with it. Google+ has long required users to use their real name as their screen name, a move...

Homeland was one of my favorite shows until the disaster that was Season 3. The season 4 trailer gives me new hope though.
Homeland was one of my favorite shows in Seasons 1-2, but Season 3 was a real pain. It got to the point where I told myself I would stop watching the show. It was awful, the plot started become dreadfully unrealistic, and the Brody family still had a ton of unnecessary air time.
