You need a consistent NAP!

Local SEOs Aren't Talking About Midday Sleep: What's A NAP?

That “NAP” reference you’ve undoubtedly seen around isn’t all that mysterious. NAP is simply the acronym for Name, Address, and Phone Number. An absolutely consistent NAP is critically important for local SEO visibility. It allows the search engines to know, with high confidence, that you are who you say you are and you in fact do business where you say you’re located.

Each full or partial use of your NAP is called a citation. For example, if your local Chamber has a public online business directory and lists your companies Name, Address, and Phone number that would count as a citation. If they only mentioned your name and phone number that would be a partial citation.

Citations from authoritative--non-spammy--sites are good; citations from authoritative and relevant local sites are great.

Interesting read, and by interesting I mean I was tuned in to the subject matter of the article. :)

Facebook Isn't Free

Concept #1: Facebook isn't free. It is free to use, not free to do.

Concept #2: If you think you're mad about having to pay for Facebook ads now, just wait till the costs double because your competition has finally stopped whining about it not being "FREE" anymore and now they are taking business away from you.

Do I agree with everything Facebook is doing? Of course not, but bellyaching about having to pay to reach an audience--when you were/are willing to pay newspapers, radio, tv, magazines, etc--is a bit silly.

I understand, but you pay to get visibility to people in any platform. That doesn't mean a right to continue said visibility for free in perpetuity.  (By the way, that is part of the me not agreeing with Facebook.)

I've come here to connect with people and chew bubblegum; and I am all out of bubblegum!
Introduction

Not your average g33k and / or graphics weenie. I love people in general and am very approachable. Sometimes, too approachable. It is not uncommon for me to be asked for assistance while shopping around Fort Wayne. This fits in well with public speaking, which I am called upon to do frequently.

I am first and foremost an internet marketing guy and having spent many years in sales/marketing has allowed me to bring a unique ROI centric focus to the way I approach web development projects. SEO (search engine optimization / visibility) is a primary goal of every solution. While I have won awards for my web designs, I prefer to ensure the design fits the demographic and fits the conversion goals for the client. I pride myself on not using graphics for graphics sake and likewise with advanced coding. I have a portfolio filled with happy clients, with a bit of pretty darn decent work woven in.

A particular passion of mine is providing knowledge transfer for the LAN party community as well as acting as a liaison between corporate sponsors and LAN event hosts. I run both lanpartycoalition.com and lanpartynetwork.com.

I long to be a published author and a patent holding inventor. Have knowledge in those areas? By all means toss me a bone here.

Wondering if you should contact me, pm me, add me as friend? Go ahead. As I mentioned, I like people. I have come here to network and chew bubblegum, and I am all out of bubblegum.

We sat in the outdoor area which was very nice. It's tucked in behind some tall vegetation which gives shade and some noise buffer. The hostess and waitress were pleasant. The hostess bot only asked us if we needed anything but addressed us by our family name. The hostess watched a dog while someone went in to the restroom. Friendly place.

The ribs were excellent, as were the sweet potato fries. The coleslaw was not very flavorful at all.

The gates are very close to the drop off for Delta and the TSA went quick and smooth.

Nice hotel that's marred by small nuances. Access to the parking garage is clunky. It involves stairs and an elevator ride to get to the lobby. Drop off under the canopy then park, or pay for valet. Ask if there will be events during your stay. River side reception hall could be heard on 4th floor. That said, the view, on the riverside, is a beautiful look towards downtown Cincinnati. If you walk down by the water there are gorgeous murals along the levee. If you're here for a convention, it is literally across the street. There are many restaurants a short distance, but few within short walking distance. There are trolleys, buses, and cabs though. Cab ride to Cincinnati was $8, the trolleys would have been $1/person. I'd say the breakfast was above average, but not spectacular.

Our server seemed new, but he got the job done and our food was very good. Bonus: They have a replica Han Solo in Carbonite piece. Some of the music playing was questionable.
