interesting analysis of human driving/cycling errors that are captured/observed by self-driving car
After 1.7 million miles we’ve learned a lot — not just about our system but how humans drive, too.

some of Google's April Fools are good =) The Japanese ones are quite funny (Keyless Keyboard, Google Panda)

http://thenextweb.com/google/2015/04/01/roundup-all-of-googles-jokes-for-april-fools-day-2015/
Google has yet again gotten into the spirit of April Fools' day this year and the company hasn't disappointed so far. Usually, Google does so many jokes that it's hard to follow, ...

Many tall trees at Yosemite, with one at >8m diameter at base. Is that why this hotel has such a tall dining room and lounge? Feels like we are "hobbits" here XD

Happy 2015!!!!
The golden firework shower under the harbour bridge is so beautiful (final 10s of the video) and last for more than a minute. Highly recommended to come see it yourself in person.

Be kind to even waiters, who may kindly point out how better to enjoy the dishes. The intended mix of sourdough, piccalilli spread, high quality meat layers, and pickles on top tastes wonderfully delicious compared to eating them separately. Similarly, the goat cheese goes wonderfully sweet with the dry raisin. Delicious =D

First helicopter simulator in Australia!

Stopped flying helicopters since next trainings would be on emergency operations which I'm not keen to practice on. Looks like I can now practice autorotation on a simulator, and at a third of the cost.
Multiple Sim Packages need to be purchase separately on each check out.

Make Things Better
Introduction
I am very positive, honest, and loving. Personally I believe there's no god, ghost, heaven/hell, or afterlife, and will always strive to do whatever I can in the short life we have and try make the world a better place via technology advances and organizing the world's information and make it universally accessible and useful!

Was in Johannesburg, South Africa when I was 10-22. Have set foot on 6 continents. Currently will more often be in one of these three places: 1) in Sydney; 2) SFO Bay Area; 3) in Taiwan.

Was married when I was 25, divorced at 33. Ex-wife insists on keeping the two great children with her, and they are currently quite well off.

My career goal is to achieve artificial intelligence that can surpass human intelligence such that "it" can assist in advancing technology, improving resource utilization, revealing the truths, and reducing conflicts in the world. An optimistic estimate is that we may be able to achieve this by 2040.
Bragging rights
Very positive and honest =)

High performance-to-cost ratio, good variety of dishes, even half sizes. Most of what I tried are tasty. Especially liked their rice Relatively quiet. In convenient location

ordered pancake soup and wonton, and the wonton came with 8 dumplings that's not fully cooked. I showed the inside of the dumpling with pink-colored pork and asked the waiter if that's normal and he replied "if the inside is hot then it should be cooked"... I asked him to eat one to check for himself and he went to talk to the manager who confirmed it's not cooked through. They simply took the dumplings to cook further, making them more soggy than if they had just cooked a new bunch of dumplings. They also showed no effort to compensate for their mistake. Very unlikely I'll ever go back again

Very convenient "automatic" BBQ -- there's a "gear" on the metal stick so the meat is rotated continuously. The taste is quite good and selection is decent. Good for casual outings
