Hi Kev - A few of thoughts on this.

1. Great article as usual from you :)

2. I'm also thinking part of the effectiveness of the sticky note may be Pavlovian conditioning. Most people place or write things on sticky notes so they will be reminded to do something they want to do.

3. I'm wondering how this can be applied to internet marketing. That would be something very interesting to explore.

You can always add a "pop in" on an internet page, but what happens when someone leaves the page.

People need to do whatever it takes to "trick" their friends and loved ones into losing weight that will save their life from diabetes.. They need to persuade their children to be safe and avoid the serious things that can happen to kids and we often need to influence outcomes that are complex like making sure the people we care about KNOW we really care about them. Can you use story for some weird negative purpose? Of course you can, but what is the point of that? Story, compelling story shapes minds,  hearts and the world. I appreciate Lorenzo's concerns but never allow yourself to see a negative application and generalize that all outcomes are negative. Hospital and doctor errors are the sixth leading cause of death in the U.S. BUT there are still times when it makes sense to go to the doctor or the hospital.

I'm very disappointed. April Braswell is not in this video. Why? Rather tacky to indicate this is her video or has her recipes and then ...doesn't. Too bad.
