Meteor and Firebase both sound cool... but being able to control access to data is very important!

Edit: I should add that I've been waiting for something like Firebase to come along. I just worry about when it will be truly usable with the needed security.

I wonder about it too. I guess we'll have to 'secure' it behind web-services and API's. What do u think?
