I found out about Bien Trucha via Check Please and since it was featured I have wanted to go check it out. It didn't disappoint with regards to the food. We went for lunch. Just a couple of observations: HOW IT WORKS - Regardless of what main dish one asks for, they bring the food out one dish at a time. My recommendation would be to grab dishes that can be passed around; otherwise, one will finish eating one's food while the other stares. - Everything is a-la-carte. - For the time of day we went, there was no waiting time to sit outside. - Presentation and taste of the food is great. Fresh ingredients and everything well cooked. - It seems like McDonalds is more accommodating than Bien Trucha. We couldn't get for the taco sauce to be served on the side instead and I wouldn't even try to make a request to get both dishes sent out at the same time.

This was my very first new car I ever bought. From ads and from visiting other dealers, one gets the impression the sales people will be pushy and pressing to make decisions. I happen to deal with Mr. Bob and he was very professional and when I mentioned the fact I was comparing other vehicles (e.g. the Juke) to the Mini Cooper and that I wanted to get my own car appraised for trade in...he was very helpful in explaining how the process worked without mentioning anything negative about the other car models I was interested in. The entire process was very easy to follow and it didn't take very long for everything to be ready (with license plates and registration). I asked about souvenir items and Mr. Bob was more than willing to ask the manager whether my wife and I could grab something from the souvenir shop. He assisted us EVEN through that process. Finally, if you want to know the ins and outs of your new car, Mr. Bob will explain just about everything if you are not too eager to start driving your new car. Kudos.

LOCATION This place is located just off Highway CA-5, which is the main highway crossing Honduras. It is located about 2 hours from the San Pedro Sula airport. I would highly recommend staying at this location instead of staying at any upscale hotel in San Pedro. In our case, we had a 7am flight out of San Pedro and we wanted to stay nearby but not within San Pedro Sula and this place worked out really well. SERVICES OFFERED - Boarding for individuals (romantic), groups - Cottage-type of rooms (this kind of room is where we stayed)...my family of 6 and I were able to stay here for under $90.00 (granted this was off season) - Restaurant: highly recommend the restaurant...if you are going to ask for fish and you prefer it well done...ask them to overcook it. This would be my recommendation on the dish (fish dinner). Also...keep in mind you are probably going to have to wait between 30-minutes to 1 hour before the food is served. - Souvenir Shop: They have a small souvenir shop, which has a lot of goodies made by local indigenous groups. My recommendation is to skip it because of the prices. High prices and you will find cheaper goodies at the airport made by the same local groups. - Boat rides: rides around the lake are offered at certain hours. We got there past the hours so we couldn't experience this. ABOUT THE ROOMS We stayed at a cottage-type of room, where they had bunk beds and probably as many as 10 people could sleep in one room/individual beds and there were two rooms. One with a private full bathroom. There was a living-room type area and another shared full bathroom. The three rooms had TVs, they were all clean. The bathrooms were clean. Noise could be a problem since it is off the highway but it didn't bother us. The shower did offer hot\cold water. The shower would do some weird sounds when it was warming the water up but other than that...the water came out cold or hot...granted the hot water runs out but wait for a bit and more hot water will come up. The weird sound was a sign the hot water was coming. Overall...I highly recommend it. You'll find everything in one place with a nice view.

TIPS - This is a cash-only establishment - Call at least 20-30 minutes prior to you wanting to eat. - They are closed certain days of the week - Once in a while, the business closes for two weeks since the owners go on vacation. Call prior to showing up. DELICIOUS FOOD By far the best Chinese food around town. The amount of food for the price is very generous. Being Chinese food, it is very greasy and they don't really put a lot of effort on how the food looks...but looks are deceiving. DECOR As others have mentioned, the owners need to do a better job decorating the place; however, it is run as a small business. Besides, in general, my recommendation would be to take food out instead of dining in. SERVICE Dining in maybe ONE time is a great experience. The dining area is very small. Be prepared to come out smelling a lot like if you were the one cooking the food. People are very polite and straight to the point.

Date of Visit: 5/26/2013 LOCATION As indicated by its name there are two sides: sit-down restaurant and bar. We dined at the restaurant for a late dinner. There are two options if driving: valet parking or self-park. Valet parking is perhaps the easiest and one can drive in as if one was going to the Ritz Hotel. Self park at a location outside the building and then walk to the Ritz. When walking into the restaurant it feels as if you are walking into a well decorated ballroom. As you walk in, you can't miss a water fountain followed by the bar area. To the right you will notice the sit down restaurant side. SERVICE The serveuse was very cordial and prompt to sit us and call us by the name we provided in our reservation (reservations are handled via OpenTable). The dinner menu can be a bit confusing and everything is à la carte; however, we were very lucky to have an excellent serveur who took a bit of time to explain. They recently opened up the patio\deck bar and it is surely going to be a big hit with guests. Our serveur took us to see it since we inquired...if you are not visiting the bar, I would highly recommend a tour of the deck specially by night. If you are pressed for time, I wouldn't recommend the sit-down restaurant for dinner. FOOD The food was very tasty and one gets a nice amount of food for the amount paid. Steak and tortellini were our main dishes and were very satisfied with the food. I highly recommend pairing your food with a glass of wine (they have an extensive selection based on age, location, or type). The steak is served with fries (very odd for a french-cuisine restaurant) but they are very tasty. PRICE The price of the food is reasonably for the quality and amount of food; however, in my case this wouldn't be considered a casual restaurant I would go for lunch or dinner whenever I feel. For two with wine\cocktail, appetizer and no dessert it ran for about $120. Prices are clearly identified in their online menus. Overall this is a place to experience great food and great service while celebrating a worthwhile event in one's life.

The Good Very friendly people. If you are like me and don't know much about cars... This is the place to go. The location is clean. Fresh coffee always available. Clean bathrooms. They also offer transportation to your home or work location. The driver is very cool and friendly. He'll drop you off at your doorstep. The Not So Good Great service in this case means the customer will pay for it. A bit pricier than your average shop in the area. When you get combined services (i.e. Oil Change + Breaks) ensure all services are done.
