Maybe it's selfish but the only thing I worry about in this I government shutdown is getting the Nexus 5 to pass the FCC. Who cares about health care?

In all seriousness rumors were for a release on the 15th now it is the 28th. The fastest it can pass the FCC with the shutdown now over. Although people base this on an ad on the KitKat site for Android that said everybody dance now. A song that was originally released on Oct 28th. So the rumors have reached an Apple like level of logic. Which shows the pent up demand for this phone.

+CyanogenMod + Chromecast

Chromecast all the things? That's actually possible.

I added some framework extensions to +CyanogenMod to let any app which plays audio/video using the MediaPlayer to be sent to the Chromecast.

This supports both local content (stuff on the SD Card) and remote content (podcasts).
