But C. S. Lewis also uses the name Harfang in The Silver Chair as the northern city of the "gentle" giants. A place with massive caverns underneath. And that is exactly what "The Underground City" is about. Massive caverns under the earth where Harfang (the owl) and his master lived.
So, my question: does Harfang, the city of the giants from the mind of C. S. Lewis, come from Harfang, the owl of the New Aberfoyle from the mind of Jules Verne?
